That reminds me of that Christmas joke well-wishing to all my liberal friends apologetically, so as not to offend, in paragraphs what is summed up in one simple phrase to our conservative friends: Merry Christmas!

It really irritates me that in this great country of ours where anyone can succeed in life and live the good life fail to even try.

Interesting that you would say this. Tell me, why don’t you hear Chinese Americans and other Asian Americans pushing their race and whining about being put down all the time and left out of the pie. Their color and facial features are different from caucasian as much as blacks are. They don’t do this because they are success oriented. The problem with blacks is that they are taught in their churches by their preachers, who are their leaders, that they can’t succeed in life because whites won’t let them. They totally ignore all the blacks who have succeeded. In fact, these same preachers denigate these successful people and call them Uncle Toms. Anyone in their communities who try to get ahead are accused of acting white. Their leaders are the ones keeping them down because they want them dependent on them both monetarily and mentally. And the blacks fall for this. That is why they think of themselves as black first and American second. And some of them don’t consider themselves Americans at all. In black liberation theology they consider themelves Africans only.

Had we been teaching civics and patriotism in school instead of multiculturalism and love for the U.N. this wouldn’t be happening.

I’m suggesting most people are *something* first and American second.

As I said before I am an American first and foremost, just like my Grandfather and his Grandfather before him.

You’ll notice he never actually makes an argument, or presents anything substantial or original in countering what you have presented. He’s more interested in playing semantic games.

Obama would call efforts like Arties a “distraction” except that Obama seems to prefer distractions rather than face the consequences of his own black liberation theology roots.

We are discussing pride of nationality, Arthur. Please stay on topic. “Left field” belongs in ball parks. I know of no one that identifies themselves as a hypenated citizen of the US by saying “I’m a Christian-American”. Pears at an apple festival.

The interesting thing is ‘Christian’ is a choice. ‘Black’ is not.

Another foul ball to left field, Arthur. Again, we are discussiong national pride. Where you choose to live is a choice. However you are apparently correct. “Most” people of late are something other than Americans first. Thus the beef.
