McCain released this new ad today:

Its describing The Lexington Project that McCain unveiled the other day which proposes more oil exploration inside our own borders:

The current federal moratorium on drilling in the Outer Continental Shelf stands in the way of energy exploration and production. John McCain believes it is time for the federal government to lift these restrictions and to put our own reserves to use.

More use of natural gas:

Within the United States we have tremendous reserves of natural gas. The Outer Continental Shelf alone contains 77 trillion cubic feet of recoverable natural gas. It is time that we capitalize on these significant resources and build the infrastructure needed to transport this important component of electricity generation and transportation fuel around the country.

Tax breaks for those who buy zero emission cars, improving battery technology, more Flex Fuel Vehicles, speeding up the development of alternative sources such as wind, hydro and solar with tax breaks and prizes, speed development of clean-coal technology, adding 45 nuclear plants by the year 2030, and much more you can check out at the link.

Pretty good stuff with the overall plan being to make a broader use of existing resources and letting the market solve the new problems associated with new technologies by giving tax breaks and/or rewards. A bit different then the Obama plan to confiscate profits and ignoring the resources within our own borders.

This new ad has nothing to do with energy but it was so good I had to include it:

Better get Obama a teleprompter before he answers that question.

If McCain is planning a bipartisan energy bill, it won’t be comprehensive. Dems will just say NO, NO, NO and NOOOOO to everything we need to get meaningful energy legislation.

When’s McCain going to learn that Dems aren’t interested in compromise or bipartisanship?

Them Mexcans really got you worried haven’t they?

Be brave.

It could be so much worse.

We could be dealing with a couple of wars overseas costing us tens of billions of dollars adding to a burgeoning nat’l debt. We could be dealing with a huge spike in energy costs. We could be dealing with a tanking economy.

Wait a minute…

I see stoner has bloviated:

We can well afford our successful peace missions - we cannot pursue the economics of illegal resident slave labor and the moral wrongness of breaking laws.

We can invest in our own energy resources - Oil, Coal, Nuclear - instead of outsourcing them. Building on our robust economy and making us energy independent.

Them conservatives have you terrified, Stoner?

Arthurstone, evidently you don’t have a clue as to how much of the national debt is coming from military defense, do ya?

Can you say drop in the bucket? Probably not…
