Winds of War, Hope and Change We Can Believe In? [Reader Post]

As Barack Obama and John McCain “debate” over how each would negotiate with Iran, the dissidents within Iran are voicing to the world an unusual message: “If the United States strikes hard and fast, we will support you.”

As this warrior can attest, war is a thing of duty and at the same time, war is a thing not to be cherished. War stinks and is never “popular” albeit some prefer to spread that ignorance around like they know what they are talking about. Any warrior will tell you flat out that the sycophants of willful ignorance claim wars are “popular” because their intelligence lacks in character and substance. However, if we are to have a war seeing that Diplomacy with terrorist regimes do not work, will never work and is a waste of time, let’s win it.

The United States has been in a State of War with Iran since 1979, thanks to the President that deposed the Shah of Iran with those “nice religious men” that thanked him by storming the United States Embassy and held American Citizens captive for 444 days. With “friends” like that, who needs enemies?

In recent days, there have been elements within Iran that have made it openly known and abundantly clear that should the United States feel like taking action against the maniacal maniac Achmadenijad, they would openly support such action. We saw the same thing in Lebanon recently when the Lebanese government and military practically begged the United States to intervene. I find this wondrously curious and curiously foreboding.

These Iranian dissidents have made this plainly known for quite some time but not in such an open manner. Perhaps it is the ignorance of an inexperienced upstart from Chicago, south side, that has them spooked. Barack Obama has stated in recent days, weeks and months that he would talk to the terrorist regime of Iran that has openly stated that Iran will one day wipe Israel off the map. He wants to negotiate with them to ascertain our common goals. Clearly he is off his meds or he has a limited amount of life experience. When a regime is killing your troops, you don’t negotiate…you eviscerate. What would the United States and Iran have in common? The destruction of Israel? I wonder what Barack has in mind.

The groups of dissidents that have been contacting US and European officials have said that the US action would have to be quick and extreme and have provided the targets…a victory on a silver platter, if you will.

[...] “U.S. airstrikes must be powerful and sustained enough to break the myth of the regime’s absolute power and reveal the weakness of the leadership,” a former official who traveled outside of Iran recently said.

The United States should target the office of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, as well as the headquarters of the Revolutionary Guards Corp, the offices of President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, and that of his predecessor and rival, Mullah Hashemi-Rafsanjani, Iranian sources say.

The goal should be to carry out sustained airstrikes over a 48-72 hour period that would “decapitate” the regime. [...]

Clearly, something is the wind because the Israeli’s Army Radio has made several announcements that the United States is finally going to fulfill their promises freely given for many years yet the United States State Department, thinking that they are the United States Government, have tried every thing they could possibly due to sell Israel down the river. (I never did respect the US State Department…too many Wimplomats)

Israel’s Army Radio is reporting that President Bush intends to launch a military strike against Iran before the end of his term.

The Army Radio, a network operated by the Israeli Defense Forces, quoted a government source in Jerusalem. The source disclosed that a senior official close to Bush said in a closed meeting that Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney believed military action against Iran was now called for. [...]

All of this sounds like wishful thinking to me and it also sounds like an Israeli pre-cursor to panic. Having a socialist in the White House causes me to go into panic mode as well but I have confidence in the American People not to elect such a Marxist as Barack Obama into the White House. I also have confidence in John McCain to deal with Iran in that he will not negotiate with terrorists…unlike Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton. Although Hillary has stated that she would obliterate Iran should Iran attack Israel, I believe that as much as I believe that Michelle Obama loves the country she lives in. I support John McCain’s bid for the White House only due to the fact that the alternative is unthinkable.

To add some credence to this “unknown source” is the fact that the Shadow Warriors within the State Department had issued an NIE that stated Iran was years away from nuclear armament capabilities and that previous estimates were wrong. Soon thereafter, it was noticed and revealed that the report was false and was issued by those that opposed President Bush and were loyalists to the previous Clinton Administration. The Leftinistra, where ever they rear their ugly heads, will do whatever it takes to promote their socialist tenacities. Thankfully, there are elements ever hawking over them.

In a more recently issued and correct assessment, it was noted that Iran would have nuclear capable weapons by 2009 and were feverishly working on the delivery mechanisms. And Barack has stated that Iran was not a severe threat right before he said that it was…the man is certainly not up to speed on anything other than emotional outbreaks of hope and change.

I have hope as well and I am all for change. I have severed relations with the GOP and have joined up with a group called Regressives. We desire strongly to “regress” to the United States Constitution as it was written and intended taking into consideration Madison’s notes on the Constitution Convention, the Federalist and Anti-Federalist Papers.

It is apparently and abundantly clear that neither the RNC or the DNC Committees have any desire whatsoever to protect this nation outside their own selfish desires to be “in control” and to be “in power”. Such displeasurable attributes of those chosen to rule by consent of We The People is abhorrent to this warrior.

As Iranian gunboats in the Arabian Gulf test the waters sailed by the United States Navy and as Iranian Republican Guard members fight Coalition Forces in Iraq and Afghanistan; as Iranian military units provide state of the art weaponry to fellow terrorist groups within Iraq and Afghanistan, Barack would have the United States sit down with these people and talk. Talk? About what? Such a foolish man this upstart Barack is.

He states his talks he would have with Iran comparable to those talks conducted by John Kennedy with the USSR and Cuba and the talks Ronald Reagan had with the USSR. Certainly, he knows better than that…the men he mentioned “talked” from a position of authority and strength, not groveling and disarming. The United States was thirteen days away from war with Cuba and the USSR and while they were “talking”, forces were at the ready, mobilized, dispatched and at sea, sailing towards Cuba to end the Cuban Missile Crisis. Apparently, Barack dismisses history in order to advance his Marxist ineptness.

Ronald Reagan did the same…he “talked” from a position of strength. Ronald Reagan defeated the USSR, ultimately crushing the USSR. This was done not by pandering but by not backing down. The talks Barack will initiate will be from a position of that of James Carter and we all know how that worked out. He gave the Panama Canal to the Red Chinese and gave Iran, and thereby the entire Middle East, to the terrorist regimes that emerged from that self-induced quagmire and there hasn’t been peace in the Middle East since. Once again, history exposes the Barack message as inadequate, reckless and dangerous.

No thank you Barack Obama. No thank you. We have seen what benefit American Liberalism has been wrought upon this nation and it is hereby rejected and denounced.

“We will be greeted as liberators!” We were at first until AL Queda and Mookie started up thier campaign against democracy

“It will be a cakewalk!” The actual real war was a cake walk, it was one of the fastest and most deicisive victories in battle ever.

“Iranian oil money will pay for the occupation!” Isn’t that what the Dems want???

“If we are in there six months, that will be too long!” Who said that??? Murtha??? The real waronly took weeks anyway, but Al Qued and Mookie (Iran) came in and have been puting up a fight against democracy since. But they are pretty much defeated now and are on the run.

Keep dreaming of the Obamassiah’s coronation

Something I have long believed could succeed is a sustained attack against the assets of the Revolutionary Guards while leaving Iran’s conventional military intact with the exception of naval assets. The Revolutionary Guards are the boot on the neck of the people. Take them out and one or two oil refineries. Then they must go to the outside world for all their refined fuel needs. A plane can’t burn crude.

Excellent contribution Snooper!

Isn’t the willful ignorance and blatant revisionism of the left something to behold? It’s nice to see them all praise Reagan, but as you point out, they left off half the equation. Peace only comes through strength. Weakness invites war.

The Iranians have used their proxies to kill hundreds of Americans in Lebanon (283 in Marine Baracks 1983) Saudi Arabia (19 Servicemen) and countless more in Iraq using the weapons and training supplied by Iran.

Iran has been at war with us for decades and Democrats have to be blind not to see it.

And for those who find war so unpleasant, there are worse things:

War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.

Snooper: And the willful ignorance the lefties suffer from has created a mass delusion where the meaning of good and evil becomes perverted.

Remember these words from President Bush’s speech in the Knesset last week:

And that is why the founding charter of Hamas calls for the “elimination” of Israel. And that is why the followers of Hezbollah chant “Death to Israel, Death to America!” That is why Osama bin Laden teaches that “the killing of Jews and Americans is one of the biggest duties.” And that is why the President of Iran dreams of returning the Middle East to the Middle Ages and calls for Israel to be wiped off the map.

There are good and decent people who cannot fathom the darkness in these men and try to explain away their words. It’s natural, but it is deadly wrong. As witnesses to evil in the past, we carry a solemn responsibility to take these words seriously. Jews and Americans have seen the consequences of disregarding the words of leaders who espouse hatred. And that is a mistake the world must not repeat in the 21st century.

Whether or not President Bush was talking about Obama, one thing is for sure: he accurately described a great many Democrats. I can’t tell you how many times I have been surprised to read some lefty comment claiming that the jihadis are no threat to us. It’s as if they forgot September 11th ever happened.

And yet, if there were another attack on this country those same delusional dunced out Dems would be first in line to demand to know why we didn’t stop the attack.
