A Bush Family Wedding

Love, Beauty, Dignity and Privacy!

When first daughter Jenna Bush set the date for her wedding to Henry Hager, pundit’s thoughts ran to an opulent White House wedding (and the hope they might be invited). But that’s not who the Bushes are. Sure, when an occasion like Pope Benedict’s historic visit last month called for it, the Bush’s proved can put on show like no other (video highlights here).

But when it comes to personal and family matters, the Bush’s like it quiet, dignified and private.

George W is a classy man. I haven’t always agreed with him, but I will miss him. Either Obama or McCain are going to give me 4 years of headaches.

Nice pics, wedding day is truly a happy one. I have three daughters no where near old enough to marry, but I look forward to the day to see them all this happy.

Any one see what the Huffington crowd had to say?

Buffoon: What did you expect from the self loathing left but more hate for the Bush’s and for anyone whose life is filled with more joy than their own sorry existence?

after reading those things from huffpo readers, it makes you wonder what planet they are on. the super rich comment was out there, what about the clintons, the kennedys, and all of the uber rich hoolywood tyoes that back the dems. i guess they are down trodden also? what a load. i say they are the picture of understated elegance, very classy. the setting was beautiful, i had wondered why they didn’t use the rose garden at the white house, after seeing this i amglad they didn’t.

Luva,

Even more absurd than the ultra-rich left (that their flock does not judge them on) is how President Bush’s house is very “green”.

It uses several orders of magnitude less power, water, and gas than Gore’s mansions do. Then again, I could run my furnace in winter with the door open and use less gas and power than one of Gore’s mansion do.

I agree. It was a very classy Texas wedding. Class, style, and a lovely day followed by a lovely sunset.

Even Huffington and her USN destroyer-sized yatch she blogged from last month cannot compare; no matter how much money she has.

ChrisG,
they say these nasty things because they are the enlightened libs. They are smarter, more unpretensious than we are. They are hateful becasue they want what you and i have worked for, what our parents have worked for. the libs are so dissatisfied whith their lives that they have to try and make everyone as miserable and appear as nasty as they are. i am shocked that they would turn they happy occasion of a wedding to spew their venom though, that is trashy. why is it that conservatives and independents get such a bad wrap from them, we are the only ones who make sense.

The Rev Kirbyjon Caldwell was the person that introduced Bush at the 2000 convention. He has endorsed Obama in the primaries. Jenna refused to publicly endorse McCain.
Since Obama has become the apparent nominee the political futures boards have all shown a marked uptick for the Democrats.

The vile remarks remind me of the time I made a blog entry at Kos for giggles,, within 4 minutes there were 70 something comments all wanting to boil me alive and other assorted poopie things…

Maybe I’m an idiot to still be shocked when I see the left at work…

What a great photo of Jenna and “Dad”!! Jenna is beautiful! I am so happy for the Bush family, and Jenna who seems to have found a really great guy. I’m sure President and Mrs. Bush are more proud than words can say! And, glad they managed to achieve some privacy for the special day!! Not even a tornado could ruin their day!!

Congratulations, Jenna and Henry, and God bless you in your new life together!
