There are No Free Waffles for Barack

Democratic presidential hopeful Sen. Barack Obama D-Ill., serves burgers to Alisha Cordell from Raleigh, N.C., during a lunch with supporters at Ball State University in Muncie, Ind., Saturday, April 12, 2008

This is too funny not to spread around:

There are no free lunches in politics. Barack Obama may have learned that about breakfasts as well when he stopped by the Four Seasons Family Restaurant on Tuesday for some last-minute politicking.

On the day of primary elections in Indiana and North Carolina, Obama trolled for last-minute undecided votes in this Indianapolis suburb.

“Take this, we’ll seal the deal,” a man in a booth eating breakfast with three male companions told the Illinois senator as they chatted about the election. He held up their breakfast check. Agreeing, Obama snatched the bill quickly.

“I’ve got your check,” Obama said.

The man, Steve Czajkowski, 39, tried to grab it back, telling Obama he was only joking and that he didn’t expect the presidential candidate to pay for their breakfasts. But Obama persisted and walked off grasping the check firmly.

Czajkowski, who told reporters the check totaled about $25, said, “I like his message. I like the way he’s running his campaign.”

But had Obama won his vote? Well, not exactly, said Czajkowski, who said he was working as a pastor at the Greenwood Community Church,

“I’m Canadian,” he said.

A Canadian who, perhaps, understands that there is no such thing as “a free lunch”.

John,

As usual, you are wrong. How about we try your “free surrender” as that is what the spoiled brat stupidity of the left will get us. Surrender is cheap and you never have to worry again about the cost of freedom.

But hey, China was your number one friend under Clinton. Why are you upset with the fruits of the left’s choice in friends?

I’m curious why the idea of Indiana (and a few other states) requiring photo ID to prove your right to vote as an American citizen is so controversial?
I know here in California (and my guess is in Texas, Arizona, and New Mexico) that the Democrats are all hot and heavy on the idea of allowing our resident illegal alien population to vote in our elections. They know that said illegals would be solidly Democratic in their voting trends (illegals love free government handouts and have little regard for the laws laid out in the U.S. Constitution too).
Frankly, I’m not real comfortable with citizens of other countries deciding what and who the laws and leaders of the United States should be (oddly Mexico doesn’t allow foreign residents to vote in their elections either). The Democrats seem willing to sacrifice anything for a political edge.

…HERE’S THE FIRST OF AN 3-PART IN-DEPTH LOOK INTO THE CESSPOOL THAT IS OBAMA’S WORLD.

Thank you, Frontpagemag.

(update - on a more careful scrutiny, I find the article a bit too kind to Obama, crediting him with a sincerity for which I see no evidence whatever. The article is a good start, but doesn’t go anywhere near far enough. Perhaps the stench is too much for the author? Where’s Norton when you need him?)

Get rid of the expense of going to work, stay home. Stop buying groceries, have you seen the price of milk lately? If you are wise, you will stop eating altogether. Don’t destroy those who would destroy us, we can take it!

…one that you can fund by simply borrowing the money mostly from the Chinese ?

Numbers and sources, John? …Or do we have to do your homework for you?

How does being Canadian stop someone from voting for Sen Obama in a Democratic primary?

Before Conservatives make too big a deal about Democratic Candidates and “no free lunch”, remember that is Conservative hero, Dick Cheney who in on record as having said, “Deficits don’t matter”.

But, of course, he will receive the automatic conservative Free Pass on that one, as usual.
