While I can't speak for anyone else, I am not a "global warming denier". I am a denier that the earth's constantly morphing climate conditions are the direct result of man and industry. We are gnats on the butt of an elephant. Mother Nature's been doing upheavals prior to us being a glint in her eye. She warms, she cools. Sometimes to extremes. If man were a bright lightbulb, he'd stop trying to fight it, and make accommodations to relocate instead. And I am absolutely against bankrupting the world, only to accomplish making Gore a richer man. Nothing we do will change the earth's climate epochs. Steel doesn't need to burn... just weaken and/or melt... in order to become unstable, BTW. Me thinks you miss the point, John Ryan.
