Classic interview by John Stossel of Arianna Huffington which shows just how out of touch those on the left really are….and what hypocrites. You can skip the first 5 minutes, just some background on the lady. The good stuff starts after 5 minutes on:
I love it. She complains about welfare reform but John shows her what welfare reform really did. Eight million left the rolls and the income of low-income families are higher while unemployment is down. Yup, how terrible.
Her excuse for her whining? Its not good enough. Apparently until there is no poor in this country (an unattainable and unrealistic goal) she will not be satisfied.
She champions OSHA but John shows her how workplace accidents were going down for decades prior to OSHA regulations, and they continued going down when OSHA came around.
It’s like government gets in front of the parade and pretends it’s leading the parade.
The hypocrisy part? The environment of course:
STOSSEL: Huffington has also joined the war on global warming. However, you live in a $7 million house. You’re burning more carbon than 100 people in the Third World.
HUFFINGTON: There is no question that the fact that I’m living in a big house, I occasionally travel on private planes, all those things are a contradiction. I’m not setting myself up as some paragon who only goes around on a bicycle and lives by candlelight.
And then we get to the bashing of the right complaining that a McCain presidency would be a disaster because he made deals with the Limbaughs, Coulters and O’Reilly’s who have hijacked public policy. Yet no complaints that Soros and his cronies can set up multiple 527’s and spend millions to do the same thing on the left.
Limbaugh should have the final word on this nutcase and hypocrite:
Limbaugh remembers when Huffington was a conservative and said, “She was just as mixed up then as she is now. She is a silly woman. Fortunately, no one can understand what she’s saying.”
