Hmmm, that doesn't pull you out of that second category I mentioned sky55110; "college students who have had their thinking pre-programmed by left-wing professors."
As for narrow mindedness; I'm quite willing to recognize Hillary Clinton as a legitimate Democratic candidate, one of the "loyal opposition" as I like to call them, though definitely not on par with say Joe Liebermann. The funny thing is, I don't support McCain "all the way" and there are issues on which I disagree with his stances. However, as game theory tells us (Prisoner's Dilemma, etc.), making a principled stand, rather than taking the "best choice available," opens the door for a far worse outcome; so I will vote for him this general election with only minor complaint. I didn't actually expect my words to change your mind sky55110, you're what I call a "true believer," my words were for the wider audience, who may or may not, be watching and reading.
If BHO becomes the Democratic nominee, and does defeat McCain in the general election, I will indeed be crying over my Vodka Gimlet; and with good reason. If, on the other hand McCain wins the general election, I can safely say you will have far less cause to shed tears.

To be sure, the Democrats are reaping the bitter fruits of the PC tree they have so diligently cultivated. Having spent so much time building up victim groups to face off against the perceived white heterosexual male Republican monolith (and if you believe that exists, then I'd like to introduce you to my friends the Tooth Fairy and the Easter Bunny).
Now, the results of all this identity politick are fighting it out amongst each other; if you don't vote for BHO, then you're a "racist" and if you don't vote for Hillary, then you're a "sexist" prima facie. The remarks of BHO showcase that even though he's been the beneficiary of much PC think, his own inner thoughts hardly live up to the PC ideal (ah, I forget myself, in PC land only whites are capable of being racist).
On the conservative side of the coin, at least in my experience, you earn respect through your conduct; none is entitled to you simply because of some extraneous factor, the whole "content of your character" line of thinking. This is not to say we are uncivil, politeness is a virtue in our circles. The PC crowd out there can't stand that we won't recognize the need to redress "past wrongs" and the like. They don't seem to recognize that redressing past wrongs in the present (particularly when those in the present weren't even alive in the past they speak of), simply creates new grievances for the future. In history, there are no do-overs, you can only hope to learn from your past mistakes, and make progress in the future. Conservatives by in large seem to understand these facts; liberals it seems are still unwilling to learn that lesson. Sorry, I seem to be waxing philosophical here...

John Murtha called McCain too old (ageism)
Barack Obama's Bitter Gate and racist Reverand (elitism, racism)
Hillary Clinton complaining it takes longer for her to prepare than the guys (sexism).

The Democrats are soooooo PC. Maybe the Democrats should refile their name as anti-Republicans, because they sure don't have anything else to tie themselves together.

according to some articles I've read Obama was hired by Ayers to sit on a school reform foundation...The Annenberg Challenge. Obama was Ayers subordinate. This is apart from the Woods foundation, that we know about.

Also Dohrn worked at Michelle's firm in the 1980s--and they were both there at the same time. They have repeatedly gotten each other speaking gigs on various panels...on top of what we already know.

He and his wife have actually got a 20 year association with Ayers and Dohrn.

Radical Chic is Barack's style.

It's highly dishonest of the radical backers of BHO to claim they have some sort of wider popular mandate, and that the super delegates should just rubber-stamp BHO as the Democratic nominee for President.
The only people who genuinely support BHO are inner city radicals who buy into the racial demagoguery of the likes of Jeremiah Wright, college students who have had their thinking pre-programmed by left-wing professors, and the likes of George Soros and the S.F. billionaires club who are convinced Middle America is ignorant in its religiosity and belief that they have the right to bear arms.
The radicals have up until now utilized a very successful strategy of selling the "hope & change" image of BHO the moderate bipartisan unifier; the moderate Democratic faithful in the early primary states were suckered in by this, and gave Obama his electoral vote lead. Now that BHO's true character is coming to light, same said moderates have said they won't vote for BHO in the general election. The super delegates voting in Hillary as the nominee at the convention wouldn't be so much overturning the popular vote, as redressing the media deception that's been pulled by BHO's radical backers. Not to mention that Howard Dean and company have neatly disenfranchised Hillary's supporters in Florida and Michigan.
Yes, the true believers will hoot and holler, play the "race card" and proclaim ominous threats about damage to the party. The Democrats have a choice, they can put the radicals back in their place on the fringe; or they can hand them the reins of power, and watch as Middle America flees their party in droves. We'll see whether the DNC is ready to return to being the respectable "loyal opposition," or is heading off the deep end. Either way, it should be entertaining to watch, keep that popcorn popper running!

they created this mess, they were hoping for an easy outcome, not happening. they are making themselves the laughing stock of the free world. they cannot agree on a nominee, yet they think they can lead this nation, they are really nuts. the longer this goes on the more rediculous they look.

It's a beautiful sight to behold.

And what do they end up with? Party hacks make the call "selected not elected". How cool is that.

One thing I don't get. Why is it that almost all the big wig democrats (Pelosi Dean etc) are saying is : Whoever comes out ahead in elected delegates MUST be the Demo nominee.
So in that case , what is the reason for having the Super-delegates anyway. If their votes should NOT make a difference then why are they set up with close to 800 (16%) of the total of all edmo delegates at the convention. What's it all about. Optics? Appeasement? Any comments
