Being a vet of multiple deployments, I always found these ’soldier’ vids depressing and they always gave me a sense of embarrasment or self conscienceness that all of that attention would be on me/us……the pics of the fathers and kids reuniting is especially painful for me to look at…..I can’t tell you how many, first steps and birthdays I missed,,,,

Not to rain on anyones parade or anything. these vids I guess make someone feel good…

Dear TRM,

I hope you are doing well after your deployments.

If those pictures are making you depressed…
Have you talked to your base counselors?
Don’t be ashamed if your experiencing PTSD.
I suffered from bouts of depression for many years until it was diagnosed in my early thirties. Its not a good state to be in.
And you don’t have to live like that.
There’s help out there.

Please don’t hide your feelings.
