"PAY NO ATTENTION TO THAT ELITIST POLITICIAN BEHIND THE CURTAIN" - Yonason
That's an inspired parody you have there! Much like the Wizard of Oz, BHO has a grand facade for all to see, that the MSM gleefully broadcasts out and causes the "faithful" out there to shed tears and faint at his orations.
But, in reality, he's just the politician behind the curtain; trying to sell the same-old race-baiting, elitist, quasi-communist doctrine, with a side of weakening America's foreign policy for good measure. Where's Toto when you need him?

PAY NO ATTENTION TO THAT ELITIST POLITICIAN BEHIND THE CURTAIN

More arrogance of O'Bomber, ...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6oGF3cyHE7M
found at Sweetness and Light...
http://sweetness-light.com/archive/obama-on-gun-and-god-clinging-in-2004
...where it is pointed out that us hicks clinging to our primitive traditions of religion and guns is a sub-narrative that has been a part of his elitist world view for quite some time. But, as he said recently to clarify it for us dense bumpkins, he "respects" those "traditions," ...so I guess he thinks that excuses his contempt? ... the condescending little supremacist bugger

Also note when Charlie Rose expresses amazement that people vote values over economics. Sheesh, what stupid clods we are to think being ethical is at least as important as putting bread on the table (when we know that without morality, everything important, including the bread, is lost).

Anyway, my favorite part is when he tries to convey how Joe Sixshooter isn't well versed in the intricacies of … “the Medicaid, um, you know, um, B plus, um, you know, provision, ….”. And, apparently, neither is he. The example he gives to show our ignorance only underscores his own. But Rose lets him off the hook. What jerks!

Oh, and the way Rose sucks up to him is sickening. He keeps coming up with clever little irrelevant observations that seem designed to cast Obama in a favorable light, and so Obie doesn't have to think, just nod in agreement. Ahhh, doesn't it make you feel good to see such good friends getting along so well together?

Thanks, Dreadnought, for making that point about what an elitist really is. It is not the same meaning, but calling all wealthy people "snobs" would be somewhat of a comparison. That, of course, is not true as some very wealthy people are friendly, humble people.

But, I thought to provide an internet definition of elitism for more clarification:

e·lit·ism [ i l tìzzəm, ay l tìzzəm ]

noun

Definition:

1. belief in concept of superiority: the belief that some people or things are inherently superior to others and deserve preeminence, preferential treatment, or higher rewards because of their superiority

2. belief in control by small group: the belief that government or control should be in the hands of a small group of privileged, wealthy, or intelligent people, or the active promotion of such a system

Udder, An elitist is not necessarily one who is wealthy or born into wealth. An elitist believes that he is somehow superior to everyone else, whether morally, or by intelligence, or ideologically, or whatever. That's why classroom Marxists (such as Obama's wife) can be called elitists, because they feel that everyone else is stupid to reject the benefits of socialism, so sneaking it in under the radar "for their own good" is perfectly allowable.

I agree Wes, but it's kind of a tongue-in-cheek argument for many to make...especially if they support Sen Clinton or voted for Sen Kerry.

It's interesting that people view McCain--one of the 10 wealthiest Senators, net worth between $20 million and $32 million (according to his most recent disclosure statements), reported to own 8 houses, and partnered with a spouse reportedly worth $100 million--as a "regular guy."

The great thing about having a candidate like Senator McCain, a regular guy, is the goof-ball enemies that he draws like bad cards to a drunk with a roll of twenties - Huffington Post is my favorite pond to hook one in the mouth:

But, But, he can't be elitist. He was raised by a single mother on food stamps.

"Barack Obama, under attack for his “condescending” remarks about small-town America, told Pennsylvania voters on Tuesday that it’s just “silly” to call someone who was raised by a single mother and who was on food stamps an elitist."

Was that when he spent his time in Honolulu or Jakarta?

Being Elite can happen “for the moment” for people especially in politics or government, and corporate America. This did happen to Obama at Los Angles in a closed meeting with rich and powerful people, did insult and use bigotry towards voters in Pennsylvania. However, Obama was caught by old man McCain, there is no excuse. One can not make a blanket statement like “You are Bitter because” for everyone to accept. Hillary obviously understands and knows how it transcends politics to believes. If anything the people of Pennsylvania feels Grace the way Hillary defined it in the CNN forum. Mainstream Media is trying hard to bury the issue because it was McCain who brought it up, and is as much McCain’s fault, not Hillary’s, for the controversy. Hillary hit the target its Grace not Bitterness.

Many can feel forced to think they must feel bitter in order to fulfill their fellowship with Obama. For me the mind set is a serious mistake definitely invoking change, but Change One Can Not Believed In. For it fails the defense of the basics in our Constitutional rights. Moving through a daily life bitter, is so condescending, sure is not the pursuit of happiness. Worse it reveals a counter product theme of divisiveness totally opposite of the unity Obama insists he can bring.

How can you bring unity while ranting bitterness? What is funny here is that in a cute way Hillary is saying Obama it is time for the training wheels, get off the Islamic rant. And Please there is a whole lot of material about sniping that Mainstream Media would like to bury too, so that is more of a moot point for the Republicans.

For those who insist on entertaining the ideal that Obama can never be an Elitist because of his background is delusion and part of America’s social structure that is brain dead. The irony, we have the elite in Mainstream Media first line Journalist reporting to America about elitism. Sheesh.

When one thinks through all that surrounds Americans today in the culture of corruption, it is more than extraordinary, that bitterness truly enables a feeble Constitution that exhibits actions, to openly be debilitating, derogates the American standard of life. This is what we get from a presidential candidate, Barack Hussein Obama a person who taught the Constitutional Laws at the University Of Chicago. Very disgusting.

I posted the text of this article on another thread. It runs down the Marxist/socialist roots that Obama got from his father:

It's no wonder he looks down on religion and the people who he feels are too stupid to know he's their self-annointed savior.

He quotes De Tocqueville and Obama quotes Marx.....

I'll vote for the 80% of the time conservative Republican versus the 100% of the time Marxist-Socialist-Utopian messiah of the unwashed, insallah.

De Tocqueville:
"The Americans combine the notions of religion and liberty so intimately in their minds, that it is impossible to make them conceive of one without the other"

Marx:
“Religion is the impotence of the human mind to deal with occurrences it cannot understand”
