Don’t miss Obama’s Jedi Mind Trick Video!
Barack Hussein Obama now defends this comments which insulted so many small town voters (see below) by suggesting that “I didn’t say it as well as I should have” which is a remarkable admission for someone whose followers see in him extraordinary gifts of eloquence and articulation.
But he went further than that by insisting that the criticism of his statement was nothing more than a “a typical sort of political flare-up.”
That use of the word “typical” caught my attention. Flopping Aces readers will recall that Obama described his grandmother’s views towards black people as those of a “typical white person.”
Obama’s other favorite phrase when caught in the meat grinder of presidential politics is to claim that criticism or questions about his character or questionable associations with people like Rev. Wright are a “distraction.” Michael Goldfarb at the Weekly Standard has been counting the number of times Obama’s used that word to try and weasel his way out of trouble.
Obama Still Not Master Jedi?
On the lighter side, it’s clear that Obama’s Jedi mind training still has room for improvement. His followers instantly agree with his every word in a way that must make Bill Clinton jealous. But the rest of us aren’t so easily fooled:
