The Results Of A PC Society

While I can’t feel sorry for a Obama supporter finally learning how the left works I can still get upset over the freakin stupidity of the thing:

According to news accounts, Linda Ramirez-Sliwinski left her Carpentersville, Ill., home on Saturday to confront two children who were climbing in a tree next door. The parents were outside with the kids, but Ms. Ramirez-Sliwinski said she thought the boys were damaging the tree and might be injured.

“I calmly said the tree is not there for them to be climbing in there like monkeys,” she told the Chicago Tribune.

Ms. Ramirez-Sliwinski says she didn’t mean the remark in a racial way. But she will now be replaced as an Obama delegate.

Fine. That’s the campaign’s prerogative.

But where’s the outrage over the fact that Ms. Ramirez-Sliwinski was actually ticketed by police for her comment? That’s right. Following her remark, the mother of one of the boys called the police, who responded by issuing Ms. Ramirez-Sliwinski a $75 summons for disorderly conduct.

A police official told The Associated Press that the “monkeys” remark violated a local ordinance banning conduct which disturbs or alarms people.

The fact that police cited this woman because it “alarmed” someone should wake you up to what the effects of a PC society our liberal breathren will bring to this country….or already have. What’s next? Too much cleavage shocks someone and you can be cited? Wearing a “shocking” t-shirt? No looking at the totality of circumstances to the situation. If the woman had said “go get your monkey children off the bars” that would be one thing, I don’t believe you should be cited for that either but at least you could agree that its a completely racist remark. But for this? Come on….

I do find it humorous that this woman is a Obama supporter tho. She felt the effects of the type of society her political party soooooo wants to implement.

Well, her neighbor Ms. Yuki Gomez-Srinivasan was ticketed $100 for calling Ms. Linda Ramirez-Sliwinski “an anti-American liberal” for her support of Obama. It turns out that being an anti-American liberal is now a protected category and the only way to properly refer to a member of that category is as “a patriotic progressive”.

Ah yes, the net effects of all the hard work of the likes of Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton going into apoplectic fits over the most innocuous remarks. First there was the case of the sleep starved student who shouted out his dorm window at a group of young women that they should “stop bellowing like water buffalo,” unfortunately for him they happened to be black (not that he probably even knew that), which caused the administration of the college (prompted by the likes of Jackson, Sharpton, and Michelle Obama) to step in make a big deal of it. Afterwards, some mall Santa that referred to a child the CLIMBED into his lap as a “little monkey.” Oops, the object of this group was from another of the “protected classes” and more mayhem and a pink slip for the Santa ensued.
In my own youth, as I climbed trees and jungle gyms whilst my mother looked, countless other parents referred to me as a “little monkey.” Now, why didn’t my mother leap upon them in self-righteous anger and summon the police you may ask? Because, my mother was more than capable of performing the minimal deductive reasoning to see that calling a child in the act of climbing a “monkey” is a reference to their dexterity, and the fact that they happen to be in a tree! I suppose they could have tried “squirrel” instead, but my point remains the same. What’s probably more important is that obviously the “injured parties” here have a hair-trigger for anything that even sniffs of a slight against them; which I find far more alarming.
We can hope that this experience may lead Ms. Ramirez-Sliwinski to see the light, and that her chosen candidate is likely to tighten the effects of PC on our country more than any administration in American history and vote McCain… or at least Hillary.
But, I fear that her indoctrination is probably far too complete, and instead she will “reflect” on her (thought) crime here… Let’s all try to repress that collective groan.

you have got to be kidding me. i guess she is seeing the other side of the coin. i have a client who has been with a black guy fir 5 years, they have a child together. we live in a small town where everyone knows each other. her family is very comfortable financially and pilars of the community. its funny because people will stumble over themselves to find the “pc” term for his race. i have never done that, i was raised that they are black, not negro, not african american, not anything else. she actually thanked me for not trying to blow smoke up her ass and trying to be politically correct. it makes her angry when people don’t say what they think and instead try and appear to be accepting. the whole thing is rediculous to me.

If Ms. Ramirez-Sliwinski was a “typical white person” (using Obama’s racist identity politics) then she would of course be guilty of racism. As we learned from the Campus Outrage awards, “ALL” white people are racists.

But Ms. Ramirez-Sliwinski appears to be hispanic:

If she were another “typical white person” the racebaiters would already be marching outside her home.
