For the life of me I can't figure out why there wasn't a single normal, young Southern conservative running. The good looking and articulate guy in the race had to be a Mormon flip-flopper. You throw a NYC liberal, a libertarian nut, a flip-flopping liberal Baptist preacher, and a few other strange characters into the mix, let the independents select the candidate, and what's left is the Juan of last resort. Of course the country is moving to the left, but what do you expect with the huge influx of third-world immigrants and their descendants and the Republicans damaging the brand by abandoning any pretense of conservative principles? Gore is a capitalist icon. Create need by flaming the frenzy of fear, rallying the int'l community, and cashing in on it all with his own carbon offset biz. Then - when he makes too much money and needs the charity writeoffs - he donates to his own charity that feeds environmental causes and education.... all of which end up coming back around to him. And of course, he serves as salaried board or officer on all to boot... He manages to become one of those "top wealthy" while still labeled as PC.
