I'll be passing the Flight 93 petition around.

I’ve been hanging out here at Flopping Aces, reading, and enjoying. I am simply amazed at the quantity and quality of precise information and the intellectual superiority of this group. I am really impressed. BTW, this is an outstanding looking blog. I’m not all that familiar with the “how to” but if I could, I’d copy this one. Great work.

I've been to Shanksville and visited the temporary memorial. This "temp memorial" was built from the heart and souls of complete strangers who wanted to thank the people who gave their lives on flight 93. It's a small sight in size but it's enormous in emotion.
I don't know if the memorial that's being planned was designed with evil thoughts in mind. I don't think any of us really know that answer. The bottom line is that is this planned memorial is innocent and a total misunderstanding then the park commission should have no problems changing the design that would make the masses happy.
I do hope they work the temporary memorial into what ever design they finally go with. I stood in front of a row of tin angels with one of the mothers of a man that was on flight 93 on the 5th anniversary of the crash and it was one of the most touching moments I ever experienced. This is the kind of feeling they need to keep in this memorial. Not of of turmoil.

Peace.

I got a letter asking for a donation for the memorial project today. I don't know what mailing list I'm on, but I live in TX. I sent it back with " no money from me until the Islamic Crescent design is rejected and a new design for the memorial picked."

I'm sure some clerk at the office will throw it right in the trash, but maybe they'll tell someone? Made me feel better.
