There's little doubt that Iraq would explode into a living hell if we leave. Iran is standing on the sideline, tapping it's foot, waiting for this. Then, they would "step in" and "help" Iraq. In the process of "helping", they would remind the Iraqi's "who" came in and invaded their country and left it in such a mess.

The Demorats, in all of their naivity, would attempt to talk to them, until they are purple.

The Jihadi's, who have also been biding their time, waiting for America's weakness to take office, would then start checking their lists and finalizing their plans.

The rest of the story could very well be the worst nightmare of our countries history.

Curious. No moral outrage, no condemnation, no hang tough against the terrorists no matter where they are, etc. from the left, the Dems, the MSM.

Re: "Our “peace” loving friends would say that none of this would have happened if we had not invaded Iraq."

Pretty much accurate, since al Qaeda was not in Iraq until America occupied it.

I can't imagin where we'd be right now had the US not intervened into Iraq. It's quite possible that Pakistan, Iran, Iraq, and Libya, could/would have developed nuclear weapons by now, and if not by now, probably within months or years, not decades as some speculate.

It's also quite possible that the proliferation of such weapons could/would spread to other counties, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia come to mind, and a new presidential candidate whether republican or democrat, might well have had to face such a scenario.

No, we must stay the course. The risks to our allies and our country were and are too great.

It remains unanswered by the anti-Bush/"anti-war" advocates:
"Should Americans leave Iraq, and let this kinda thing run rampant, or should they stay and help defend these people against our common enemy, Al Queda “The Base”; Islamic Holy Warriors?"

Our "peace" loving friends would say that none of this would have happened if we had not invaded Iraq.

They would be right. But the death toll that this sad story represents was repeated a thousand times over under Saddam. Even the foreign fighters of Al Queda in Iraq couldn't match the evil that Saddam inflicted on his own people.

The real peacemakers in Iraq continue to be the U.S. military and the Iraqi citizens who reject extremism in all it's forms.
