I must admit to being sorely disappointed... After Kofi "The Corrupt" Annan, and his promotion of such fine programs as the Durban "Conference of Racism" and putting his own son in charge of bilking the oil for food program in Iraq; I had some hope that Ban Ki-moon might be a return to the likes of Dag Hammarskjöld. After all, Ban Ki-moon was not the product of third world nation whining, and had experience negotiating in the face of tyranny (North Korea), so he had promise. But, perhaps I underestimated the total effect of the moral corruption that has taken root in the United Nations. I guess short of John Bolton, anyone sent into the U.N. these days has little hope of keeping their ethical compass straight.
Calling Fitna "hate speech" is kind of like calling those who cite Rev. Wright as a racist, as being "racist" themselves. Jews, Christians, Buddhists, and Hindus all take their licks in the name of free-speech. Death threats against those who criticize those religions are rare, and are widely and openly criticized by the main stream of those faiths. How is it that Islam deserves any special treatment!? Or critiques of Islam are somehow invariably a "human rights violation?"
If the fanatics who make appearances in this video genuinely do not reflect the views that many Muslims hold deep in their hearts; then they should be defending the right of Wilders to bring these fanatics to light; better yet, they should be criticizing these fanatics themselves. The silence of this latent main stream Islam is simply disquieting to any reasonable observer.
It's truly bizarre that agencies that are supposed to project "tolerance" are being used to protect intolerance. It's akin to using the tools of democracy and constitutionally guaranteed freedoms to destroy that democracy, and take away those freedoms. Let Fitna be debated, criticized, or seconded as it makes its way across the internet! The important thing is, it's getting out there; the sanctity of the open exchange of ideas is protected, and that is the West's greatest legacy.

LOOKING FOR A BETTER VERSION?

If it's still up here, <a href="http://poligazette.com/2008/03/27/fitna-online/" rel="nofollow">this is the complete version</a>.

And, when you are done watching that, please see <a href="http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-871902797772997781&q=violence+islam&total=1814&start=0&num=10&so=0&type=search&plindex=1" rel="nofollow">this excellent and very thorough treatment.</a> It is much more detailed, and puts current events into an historical perspective that allows you to see that anti-social pathology is not a recent development in Islam.
