Iraq war protesters disrupt Chicago Mass

CHICAGO – Six Iraq war protesters disrupted an Easter Mass on Sunday, shouting and squirting fake blood on themselves and parishioners in a packed auditorium.Three men and three women startled the crowd during Cardinal Francis George’s homily, yelling “Even the Pope calls for peace” as they were removed from the Mass by security guards and ushers.

This is the face of the Democratic Party’s anti-war movement

HAPPY EASTER HOWARD DEAN

UPDATE:
Ed at Hot Air has a great take on all this.

It turns out that one of the apparent sponsors of this attack is the International Solidarity Movement, a pro-Palestinian organization. Why is a sponsor of the Palestinian cause sponsoring or at least offering apologetics for an attack on a Catholic Mass? One might expect the news media to ask that question, and to ask whether this is just an anti-war attack or whether it is an anti-Catholic, anti-Christian hate crime. If that’s not clear enough, let me ask readers what kind of coverage this would have provoked had it been conducted against the worshipers at a mosque. If a group of anti-terrorist protesters had broken into Friday prayers at a Chicago mosque to spray stage blood all over Muslims in protest of al-Qaeda and the Taliban — a little stronger connection than that between the Catholic Church and the war in Iraq — the newspapers would have trumpeted it as a hate crime against American Muslims, followed by weeks of human-interest, anecdotal accounts of how terrible America is to its Muslim citizens.

Where’s the Catholics rampaging in the streets and burning and breaking everything in sight? Maybe they should print a cartoon of the Pope or Jesus?

“If a group of anti-terrorist protesters had broken into Friday prayers at a Chicago mosque to spray stage blood all over Muslims in protest of al-Qaeda and the Taliban”

There is no condemnation of the Taliban or al-Qaeda from the left. They are fellow travelers. Putting panties on someone’s head is morally equivalent to sawing off the head of an infidel!

To answer the question posed is this: “just an anti-war attack or whether it is an anti-Catholic, anti-Christian hate crime?”

It’s both really. But fundamentally it is an attack against any and all traditional order that stands in the way of the new “morality” that motivates these hate filled loons. They feel so empowered with the moral authority of their cause that they can overturn the most fundamental principle of American liberty and freedom and take away the rights of worship or assembly guaranteed to all.

This is just another sad example of the new facism which sweeps the left and is fueled by the hate speech emanating from every one of their leaders.

Scott – you wonder what’s going to be like in Denver if Hillary is nominated?

One option would be the Dems will bus all their anti-war protestors to Colorado Springs and hope for a confrontation at all five military installations.

The last time the anti-war protestors tried a massive protest was in early 2005, it ended up being a running skirmish between the protestors and the police. (Approx 85-90% of the protestors were bused in from the Denver area.) That resulted in the police committing 70% of the force, including their tactical enforcement unit, in full riot gear. The protest, that started at noon and last until 10pm, was shutdown at 1:15pm after police determined some protestors had molotov cocktails and firearms ready to use. More than 150 arrested on a range of felonies, and 500+ ticketed for failure to disperse.

So much for being “fully committed to peace.”

They are not Peace Activists. They are part of the Marxist revolutionaries in this country. Most are funded by Communist Party USA or one of their front groups. They can care less of Peace, they want a Marxist country and do not care what or who they bully to do it. They also have a lot of anarchists in their mist. Just look at all the G8 summit crazies, the same people are in both groups most of the time. Except for the Hippy flower children that get used by these people. Remember they are “Useful Idiots”.

Witness the continuing decline of the Democratic Party. It’s amazing the transformation that has been wrought upon what used to be the “loyal opposition” in just over forty years.
I’m going to be honest in my opinions here, so I hope my fellow conservatives won’t be too harsh on me here. Through the Kennedy Administration the Democrats were a political party worthy of respect, even if Republicans disagreed with them. Kennedy stared down Khrushchev over the Cuban Missile Crisis, augured in the American space program, and a reading of his speeches and correspondence reveals him to be a sincere patriot. No, I’m not even going to make mention of his personal foibles. Up till the early 1960’s Democrats seemed to view Republicans as adversaries yes, but not as “the enemy” per se.
Then, under Lyndon Baines Johnson “ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country” was warped into the Great (Entitlement) Society, and of course the full fury of the new loony left was put on display for the entire nation at Chicago in 1968.
Now, they’ve devolved all the way to the sort of circus antics this “peace protest” on Easter is merely a sample of. I won’t be the least bit surprised if the same variety of “demonstrator” shows up at the DNC convention in Denver, screaming for Obama’s nomination. But, the Democrats need to realize that if they want to be successful with the electorate, their future is no more with the likes of Dennis Kucinich, and the racist Obama; than Republican futures are with Ron Paul, or the neo-isolationist Pat Buchanan.
But hey, what do I know? I’m a “righty” after all. So, if the Democratic Party wants to have enough rope to hang themselves with this election, who am I to complain…

They’ve had bail set pretty high, and according to some links they’re affiliated with the Illinois Coalition for Peace & Justice.

Huh. Peace…and..Justice… Wasn’t that guy who went on a recent gun-free-zone shooting rampage a doctorate-student in “Peace and Social Justice Studies”?

Obama’s Illinois church not-surprisingly is also affiliated.

As I have said before, anything with “Peace and Justice” has nothing to do with “Peace and Justice” with these people. They want a Marxist take over of our government. Thy are funded by George Soros and front groups for the Communist Party of the USA, or their affiliated groups, The World Workers Party to name one. IF you have seen any of their protests, they sell Marxists publications. Che Guevara is a big hit with these friutcakes and Karl Marx is their favorite subject in the books they sell. And also the Truthers books are also sold at these freaks rallies.

Well, Stix… if they pine for a Marxist nation, they’d better savvor every minute of their current protests. Because if they get what they ask for, their voices will be shut down permanently.

Most protestors are young, impressionable and Marxist in orientation. Thank heavens they like to march, but hate to actually show up at a ballot location.

Wasn’t there an FA thread somewhere where someone said (paraphrased) “we were all Democrats until we grew up”? Ahhh…so many threads, so few memory cells left.

Another poster misinterpreted the comment. But it was merely an observation that the “love the one you’re with/why don’t we do it in the road” mentality is inviting in youth. But after you’ve worked your butt off and reach middle age – and the next guy hasn’t done whit – that redistribution of income bit doesn’t look so inviting any more.

I hope you are right about that. And many of the protesters are left over people from th 60’s and they are going to hopefully blow themselves out because of old age. They are left overs from the Ant-Vietnam war, and want free love and smoke pot all day. They are definitely people that are too high to go and vote most of the time.

Someone quoted at work quoted Churchhill as saying: “If you are not a liberal at age 20 you don’t have a heart If you are not a conservative at age 40 you don’t have a brain.”
