Obama Ties To The Passport Scandal

Is Herr Olbermann’s head going to explode over this?

The State Department investigation of improper computer access to passport records of three presidential candidates is focusing on one remaining employee — a contract worker with a company headed by an adviser to the presidential campaign of Sen. Barack Obama

The probe by State’s inspector general will include polygraph tests for supervisors in the passport section to find out whether the three contract employees who accessed the records had a political motive or were part of a political operation to obtain personal data on Mr. Obama, Sen. John McCain or Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Two of the three contract employees had been fired before The Washington Times first reported Thursday on security breaches involving Mr. Obama’s passport records. The furor expanded yesterday to incidents involving the passport records of Mr. McCain and Mrs. Clinton.

The third employee, who has not been fired, worked for The Analysis Corporation (TAC), which is headed by John O. Brennan, a former CIA agent who is an adviser to Mr. Obama’s presidential campaign on intelligence and foreign policy.

The TAC employee is the only individual to have accessed both Mr. Obama’s and Mr. McCain’s passport information without proper authorization, a State Department spokesman said. That employee, who was not named, triggered an electronic alarm system, officials familiar with the probe said.

Maybe the “demand to know who looked at Senator Obama’s passport file, for what purpose, and why it took so long for them to reveal this security breach,” wasn’t such a great idea afterall huh?

But no worries…Obama will give a speech soon which will be heralded as the next Gettysburg Address to put us all at ease. So don’t go crying yet Bathtub Boy.

Will anybody at NBC have an apoplexy? You wish. But you watch and tell me–I’m not about to.

And why the surprise that leftists are involved in State? They have owned the place since what, WW I?

This was entirely predictable.  Once again Conservatives absolve the Bush Administration of accountabilty and try to make it all someone else’s (always a Democrat’s) fault.

What nonsense, Steve. I’d wager if you walk out and see bird droppings on your car, you’d blame Bush. He has about as much to do with the hiring and oversight of these employees as he does that bird.

Get a grip. Much as you’d like, not all of man’s woes in the world can be blamed on the man you so love to hate.

This was entirely predictable. Once again Steve absurdly blames the Bush Administration for all of his projected woes.

President Bush does not hire contractors, general employees, or virtually anyone else, for the State Dept, DoD, or any other government organization.  No President does.  They select the few people at the top who are there a few years.  The organization is run by career GS workers.

Next prediction:  Steve will wail that he is being persecuted….again.
