What happens when Easter meets The Da Vinci Code meets South Park?

Too bad it isn’t the whole episode. Brilliant! Of course….not everyone thinks so; but at least they ain’t issuing fatwas and rioting in the streets, calling for the beheading of Trey and Parker.

Looks like the New York Times has decided to contribute its own humor to the Easter holiday:
“NYT: Obama race speech fuels Easter sermons”
Ah yes, just what we need, Obama’s politics intruding into what is supposed to be a sacred day. Honestly, this is a might bit too much in my book. The MSM seems to think that Easter is a great time for us to go into self-flagellatory fits over Wright and Obama’s words. Fortunately, there are those who aren’t biting, to quote one minister: “Easter is about Easter and the Resurrection of Jesus, and it’s pretty unlikely that any other topic would eclipse that,” and that churches “are Bible-driven, not current-events-driven.” To which I say, a hearty Amen to that brother!

For some oddball reason, Mike, I thought the video you posted would be the clip from Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

Curt, the episode is rich in humor. The entire thing should be viewed.

I thought the same thing actually word….think its the still picture of the youtube vid. Oh, believe me, I’ve watched that episode often. Love the series. Haven’t done a whole lot of South Park watching lately tho, been on a Family Guy kick.

I don’t know… After the last couple of new episodes South Park doesn’t seem as funny as it used to be.

Fart jokes are much funnier than giving another kid AIDS. They should go back to what they know the people love.

I thought the Easter Bunny episode was a bit over the top too. Even for them.

I am a Christian and generally hit mute when they are going too far, and skip episodes like this usually - but I disagree Mike - that Brit episode was a scream.

Having said that, I too have moved from The Simpsons, through SP and into Fam Guy now. Crap, College Freshmen are younger than the Simpsons and SP must be ten or twelve years old by now.

Every episode probably can’t be a winner; we’ll see how this season turns out.

I love a lot of things in this Easter bunny ep. Like where Jesus is trying to convince Kyle to kill him, so that he could be resurrected with powers, outside of the prison cell….and Kyle says he’s Jewish and has some hang ups with the idea of killing Jesus. They’ve always been irreverent toward religious figures. Jesus has made a number of appearances and remember what they did to Santa’s balls?

I think they “go too far” in some manner, in almost every episode.

This is a prime example of why western civilization deserves to be preserved and defended at all costs:

If western civilization falls, so too, does fine entertainment like that one. If Taliban Islamists destroyed ancient Buddhist statues in Afghanistan, their mere presence of existence an offense, do you think they’d let modern Hollywood art & entertainment survive under a super-Caliphate?
