The Racist Minister Pushes Back

Posted by: Curt @ 3:45 pm in Barack Obama  | 1 views

Soooo, the pushback has started and its more pathetic then anticipated. Basically comes down to “your all racists for pointing out the hate”

“AN ATTACK ON OUR SENIOR PASTOR AND THE HISTORY OF THE AFRICAN AMERICAN CHURCH”:

Chicago, Ill. (March 15, 2008 ) — Nearly three weeks before the 40th commemorative anniversary of the murder of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., the Reverend Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr.’s character is being assassinated in the public sphere because he has preached a social gospel on behalf of oppressed women, children and men in America and around the globe.

I don’t think I have heard one, not ONE, complaint about his work to better the lives of those “oppressed” folks. No, what we’re complaining about is the fact he uses racism to blame it all on the “US of KKK,” or his hateful conspiracy charges like, for example, the charge that our government knew the Japanese were going to bomb Pearl Harbor and did nothing about it so we could go kill those non-whites. Lets throw in the charge that the white man infected black men with syphilis on purpose or that the United States is the same as al-Qaeda, we just operate under a “different color flag.”

Lets not forget “God bless America?”…..”God damn America!”

This man did nothing but do his best to divide this nation and Obama swooned with the rest of the congregation.

During the 36-year pastorate of Dr. Wright, Trinity United Church of Christ has grown from 87 to 8,000 members. It is the largest congregation in the United Church of Christ (UCC) denomination.

So what? Because 8,000 people like to immerse themselves in hate, somehow, someway, this is some sort of excuse?

“It saddens me to see news stories reporting such a caricature of a congregation that has been such a blessing to the UCC’s Wider Church mission,” said the Rev. John H. Thomas, UCC general minister and president, in a released statement. “ … It’s time for us to say ‘No’ to these attacks and declare that we will not allow anyone to undermine or destroy the ministries of any of our congregations in order to serve their own narrow political or ideological ends.”

Destroy the ministries? No one is doing any such thing. We are vetting a man who wants to become the leader of the free world. You continue to swill the hate as much as you and the congregation wants, but you better bet your ass if a member of that hateful congregation wants to become President, its going to be an issue.

Moss added, “The African American Church was born out of the crucible of slavery and the legacy of prophetic African American preachers since slavery has been and continues to heal broken marginalized victims of social and economic injustices. This is an attack on the legacy of the African American Church which led and continues to lead the fight for human rights in America and around the world.”

Healing “victims” is to God damn America? To throw around conspiracy charges akin to the twoofers? This is healing?

Sheesh….

What an embarrassing defense.

Meanwhile Ace got a tip that Michelle Obama may have been in the pews during this sermon in which:

he delivers his “America’s chickens are comin’ home… to roost” line with such relish and enjoyment there is no question whatsoever he’s a fan of 9/11. There is simply no other way to read his vengeful, hateful, delighted tone.

You tell me he doesn’t sound positively orgasmic over the payback 9/11 represents in his mind

And finally, wonders of wonders, Obama has started to erase any mention of Wright on his website.

This shouldn’t be surprising to anyone who is familiar with the history of race hucksters in America. The Al Sharpton orchestrated Tawana Brawley “incident,” then the Rainbow Coalition backed persecution of the Duke Lacrosse Team, have all shown the classic pattern of the guilty party accusing those that would bring their misconduct to light are actually the problem themselves. It’s a neat trick, by accusing blacks of racism; the white majority was actually proving its own supposed racism.
People like Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, and Mr. Wright, have shown a kind of fossilization in their thinking. They’ve perverted the dreams of Martin Luther King Jr., and their vision has become permanently tainted by the concept of race, leaving them unable to consider a reality beyond that premise. Instead they simply update and twist their old prejudice to new dynamics; thusly we get new concepts of “institutional racism” and “unconscious racism,” etc.
Slowly it seems the American public at large is waking up to this old scam. But, in this case we’re sitting on the verge of a presidential election, and one of the three remaining candidates is a closet believer in this world view. So, they’ve trotted out the old dog & pony show to try to convince the public at large, one more time, that calling Obama on his former “spiritual advisor” is actually a sign of America’s racism. It’s time to call this what it is, a cheap attempt to divert valid criticism away from a candidate whose character and ideology aren’t near as shiny and squeaky clean as the MSM has been trying to play up.

For someone who dedicates so much of a book to Wright, gave 22K to him, and attended his church for 22 years either Osama has a very selective memory of Wright’s sermons or drank a great deal of ice tea. Either way, it demonstrates his commonsense and judgement. Anyone so lacking doesn’t deserve to be dogcatcher of Detroit.

And if you believe Osama’s explanation about Wright and his sermonsd, I have some beach front property in South Dakota just for you.

You know…this could be a good thing. First, it gets this poisonous teaching out in the open. Better the enemy you know than the enemy you don’t know. Second, maybe it will result in ending racism…by resulting in people saying to those who claim racism all the time to “sit down, shut up, get to work and stop making excuses”. I’ve never understood how anyone can claim that the reason they can’t get ahead is because of racism, but we should make special accommodations for them because of their race. Likewise on the gender issue – but that’s for another day!

I don’t know why everyone is so surprised about the political victomhood preached in this church. Has no none noticed that all the black leaders have a reerend in front of their names ? The black churches are the driving forces of racism. They flog dissent and hatred. Most blacks would otherwise be clueless about racism without this constant drumroll. It keeps racism alive and the these people in business. Anyone from the south could have told you this but you have a mindset that we southern whites are racist not that we understand blacks better than you think we do.

Je$$e Jack$on and Al Sharpton are not the only black leaders. You’ve just decided to put every single preacher of a black church into a category with them. Congratulations.

And its not so much surprise at the political victimhood, its that Obama has had this guy as his spirtitual advisor and confidant for 20 years, and he’s been running with the notion that he can heal the racial divide of the nation. Those two things come off as incredibly contradictory.

Igor, that’s an inspired U2 parody you have written up there! (unfortunate because their music was so great before they went off on their current liberal kick)

We keep hearing how bad america is, my family has never owned a slave as i expect all the other families havnt. But to hear this hate still coming from the mouthes of americans is down and dirty. I have wondered if the people who bring up the slave issue ever thought about how the slaves were captured and put on the ships? Some one in Africa had to be giveing a helping hand to have rounded up thousands of people , hold them in one area and wait for the ship to come in. I have never read in a history book who captured the soon to be slaves and sold them to people who were bring them to America.
