“the legacy of GI Resistance”

Not near as good a legacy of patriotic GI’s like Audie Murphy, Carlos Hathcock, Bull Halsey, but stinky hippies gotta have heroes too, I guess.

Wow - that kid did a great job drawing Lurch into the interview and then skewering him a good one!

What “legacy of GI Resistance”…? The Maginot Line? The French Resistance? GI Resistance against the Chinese in Korea? Those who resisted the Viet Cong and Communists?
What a sad big-little man.

Hmmm… no brainer… listen to men with compassion or visit a website with angry children with an ax to grind. Thank goodness you are sitting on your throne judging everyone else… cuz nobody else does that…. that’s why Jerry Springer is the longest running talkshow in America. Says a lot doesn’t it? Let’s not question anything… just go with the flow… hate your fellow Americans and keep up with the insults….. good work, carry on with your life purpose…..
You have a fun title and great looking website… too bad there is a river of venom running through or I’d visit again. Don’t put this on your site, I won’t be back.

There is a lot of talented and intellectual writers on this site, I’ve read a lot of what you have to say. I saw the academy award winning best documentary of 2008: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WX0MPcN08Zc I can’t forget it. What the men are saying at Winter Soldier matches video footage of this movie. Who would I want in bed next to me? A man that can kill with a clear conscious and be OK with it? And then later lose it mentally? I mean… we are looking at $6 Billion to repair these men. What’s the difference between TBI and PTSD? How many are coming back to get divorced? I drawn no conclusions, I like the opportunity to listen to both sides… hence the reason I have read most of your website…. well done. I’m glad you put Winter Soldier on your site, these men have a lot of courage, men are supposed to act a certain way in America…. it’s very refreshing to see a softer side, one with compassion instead of “posturing”. Well… I gotta get out some uh… patchouli and incense and sing Cumby ya… or whatever it is “hippies” do …. is that the label I receive from writing this? So be it. ;-) Have a good one!

Not surprising that “hippies” such as yourself buy into the lies being spread by these winter soldiers. As the first winter soldiers were shown to be liars so too will these be. And just like the first they refuse to be sworn in. Big shocker!

The unverified allegations by the original Winter Soldier Investigation were made famous by John Kerry’s congressional testimony where he characterized American soldiers as “razing villages in fashion reminiscent of Genghis Khan”. Unproven statements from the membership of the VVAW and John Kerry managed to smear the reputation of an entire generation of honorable soldiers. Decades later, Vietnam Veterans are still reeling from the egregious mischaracterization perpetrated by the VVAW.

The Iraq veterans Against War (Formed under Veterans For Peace) are attempting to do the same to this generation of men and women serving in our military. Select IVAW members are scheduled to make statements, and will do so without swearing an oath or signing legally binding depositions, affidavits or official reports. In essence, the IVAW are denying these individuals the basic right of American citizens to due process.

you ignore the hundreds and thousands of troops who come home and do well, who perform their jobs while overseas admirably and with honor and instead will key in on the few bad apples and make sweeping generalizations.

You types who so want to believe that our best and brightest are just cold blooded killers sicken me…

I watched all of the testimonies, videos, photos etc. It’s kind of hard to dispute videos and photos.

In addition I listened to stories from a friend of mine serving over there and he told me some horrible stories and showed me pictures as well.

What you propose, with regard to our soldiers, is that there is never a “bad apple” or “the fog of war” that may cause one to act irrationally. Also you assume that everyone in the military is in it for benevelent reasons.

I suppose yopu also believe there are no corrupt politicians or cops who consistently use unneccessary force.

Also, many of these soldiers said they were following orders.

Perhaps you should reserve judgment for after you have seen and heard everthing these brave men and women have to say.

By the way, how many of you have served in Iraq?
