US ready to go to war with Syria to defend Lebanon

A U.S. Navy official said earlier this week that USS Cole had been relieved by the guided missile destroyer USS Ors and the guided missile cruiser USS Philippine Sea.

It’ll be interesting to see how Sen Clinton and Sen Obama plan to deal with this situation-if at all.

John,

What is your definition of “peace” and “stability”? I am sure Hitler, whose ideological followers/fellow travelers are in essense what we are fighting, would have probably brought “peace and stability” to Europe. The Jewish/Christian/”unworthy” populations of Europe under Hitler paid the maximum price for that “peace”.

I am sure hardline Islamists could bring “peace and stability” to Lebanon. However, the Lebanese Christians and others would not call it “peace” or “stability”. Just like the Jews of Mecca, the Berbers of North Africa or the Christians of Constantinople would not call what happened to them “peace and stability”.

I predict the violence will end when Iran nukes Israel and Israel respond. End of story.

In the shadow of that horror show…even the 911 attacks would fall to mentionable level.
