Dittos, Mike. It’s time to get on with defeating the Democrats.

A few months ago I was somewhat demoralized and didn’t think we could win. But I saw a Rasmussen poll on NRO which had McCain beating either Obama or Clinton. And we’ve seen Obama’s armor pierced recently. I think we can win.

Tom try looking at sites where polls are averaged such as Real Clear Politics. http://www.realclearpolitics.com/polls/
Or on sites like Intrade.com where people are willing to bet real money on what they think.
If you really do think that the Republicans can win the White House in 2008 Intrade.com can offer you quite good odds, much much better than if you wager on the heavily favored Democrats.
And even if you do not wish to wager, because the odds are constantly changing one can get a good look at just how important or unimportant the “news” of that day really is.

John Ryan: How much did you lose wagering that Democrat would get us out of Iraq if they took control of Congress?

Good God John Ryan, why don’t you just announce that you own stock in that stupid website. You do more pimping for it than a NASCAR driver does for his main sponsor. And he’s going around in circle for 4 hours every sunday with their logo on his hood.

good heavens! Is Obama tangentally involved in skimming/laundering Iraqi reconstruction contracts? That’s the implication. No wonder they have a heavy hitter inquisitor like Patrick Fitzgerald involved. Rezko, Auchi, Alasamarae…Chigaco boys. This looks terrible.

Although Rezko is understood to be close with some Republicans too.

Hillary or Obama, it doesn’t matter. They are the same candidate. That is why the donkeys are having a hard time deciding. There is no policy differences between them. That is the dirty secret and the reason why they are deadlocked after so many primaries.
I never liked McCain but I will gladly jump on his bandwagon, especially when I think about the regressive policies these two liberals have been harping on.
Dan, as far as we know, Rezco and McCain are not business partners/friends. I think we can rest easy on this one and pass the popcorn.

Something I really appreciating Pres. Bush saying, as I’ve been saying it recently, too, is that all the talk about “change” is not entirely what the country needs! Change is a very relative word, and really, change occurs naturally without trying to implement something radically different. One example is with the conflict in Iraq. When commanders found one approach didn’t accomplish the desired outcome, strategies were altered to do so, and they now have good success because of it.

The people talking about change the most are the folks who desire that the country be founded on socialist/liberalist ideas so I understand why the current system of capitalism, democracy, free republic and personal responsibility must somehow be offensive to them.

Personally, change has not always been a positive thing in my life…sometimes keeping the status quo is preferable! As Pres. Bush said, every candidate talks about change, but one thing we can’t compromise on is the stabilization of Iraq and making Al Qaeda inoperable there.
