Yeah, lots of accomplishments to feel good about huh John? Of course they didn’t accomplish anything so maybe your just feeling good because they won. Whether they accomplish anything doesn’t matter to you I suppose.

Well of course “he who laughs last, laughs best”
The “left” feels rather pleased after 2006 and they look forward to doing well in 2008.
On the other hand the Republicans were unable to even nominate a “”true conservative, and McCain will have a difficult time being elected. In the Senate the Republicans will have to defend 22 seats and are sure to lose some more of them. All in all it is the conservatives that are looking a bit worried.
If in Nov, McCain does not look like he will be elected, will true conservatives withhold their votes to show their dissatisfaction in his nomination ?

Of course, (ignoring that they make this promise every other year) if we would just put a Democrat in every seat in Congress and in the White House, then they’d end the war in Iraq, turn the Mississippi to chocolate, plant gumdrop trees, convert polluting factories from global warming/world destroying capitalist oppression machines into cotton candy cloud makers, and everything would be better. If not, well, it’s George Bush’s fault.

I am soooooooooo not gonna vote for Bush in 2008!

And that is the saddest TRUE statement I’ve ever read. The Declaration of Independence spelled it out pretty clearly:

That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, –That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness.

That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it - applies to congress 100 and 10 percent. They are actively working against the governed and FOR the enemies of this country. God I detest the lot of them.
