How long will it be before man is blamed?

Temperature Monitors Report Widescale Global Cooling

Twelve-month long drop in world temperatures wipes out a century of warming

Over the past year, anecdotal evidence for a cooling planet has exploded. China has its coldest winter in 100 years. Baghdad sees its first snow in all recorded history. North America has the most snowcover in 50 years, with places like Wisconsin the highest since record-keeping began. Record levels of Antarctic sea ice, record cold in Minnesota, Texas, Florida, Mexico, Australia, Iran, Greece, South Africa, Greenland, Argentina, Chile — the list goes on and on.

No more than anecdotal evidence, to be sure. But now, that evidence has been supplanted by hard scientific fact. All four major global temperature tracking outlets (Hadley, NASA’s GISS, UAH, RSS) have released updated data. All show that over the past year, global temperatures have dropped precipitously.

A compiled list of all the sources can be seen here. The total amount of cooling ranges from 0.65C up to 0.75C — a value large enough to wipe out nearly all the warming recorded over the past 100 years. All in one year’s time. For all four sources, it’s the single fastest temperature change ever recorded, either up or down.

Scientists quoted in a past DailyTech article link the cooling to reduced solar activity which they claim is a much larger driver of climate change than man-made greenhouse gases. The dramatic cooling seen in just 12 months time seems to bear that out. While the data doesn’t itself disprove that carbon dioxide is acting to warm the planet, it does demonstrate clearly that more powerful factors are now cooling it.

Let’s hope those factors stop fast. Cold is more damaging than heat. The mean temperature of the planet is about 54 degrees. Humans — and most of the crops and animals we depend on — prefer a temperature closer to 70.

Historically, the warm periods such as the Medieval Climate Optimum were beneficial for civilization. Corresponding cooling events such as the Little Ice Age, though, were uniformly bad news.

How long will it be before a worldwide climate emergency is declared and along with it a demand for radical changes in our lifestyle as well as a worldwide tax on prosperous nations to fund an army of UN bureaucrats to lecture us all on how bad things are?

And will the Sierra Club and other environmental organizations who have made millions in fundraising on the Global Warming emergency how scratch warming from their propaganda and insert “cooling”? Instead of images of flooding in New York we’ll see icebergs off Miami Beach?

And for the global warming zealots that say “it’s only the observations from one year, it doesn’t mean anything” we’ll remind them how they insisted that the terrible hurricane season of 2005 brought their predictions of worse to come with global warming to blame followed by the two calmest hurricane seasons in a decade.

For all of you trapped in frozen climes this time of year, here’s my advice on how to keep warm: The next time you encounter some know nothing global warming zealot, point at him and laugh until you are warm!

Man makes the temperature go up, man makes the temperature go down. The how is still a mystery.

So the ancient Greeks, Romans, Babalyonians, Vikings, etc made the temps go up and down also? I ask because climate change was recorded in both their histories and in core samples dated from present to before 5000 B.C..

Man does little to globally affect temps. The Sun and natural aspects of the Earth (volcanoes, core temperature, etc) do far more than man has ever been, or currently is, capable of.

As further evidence, I cite Dr. Tim Ball, Chairman of the Natural Resources Stewardship Project in his article dated 5 Feb 2007.

Don’t forget John McCain believes global warming is real, manmade and the government should be involved in “fixing” it…

Does this sound familiar ?

Mr. McGovern subsequently asked him at a hearing to reconcile his skepticism with a survey showing that the low-fat recommendations were endorsed by 92 percent of “the world’s leading doctors.”
“Senator McGovern, I recognize the disadvantage of being in the minority,” Dr. Ahrens replied. Then he pointed out that most of the doctors in the survey were relying on secondhand knowledge because they didn’t work in this field themselves.
“This is a matter,” he continued, “of such enormous social, economic and medical importance that it must be evaluated with our eyes completely open. Thus I would hate to see this issue settled by anything that smacks of a Gallup poll.”

Something else from the Met Office Hadley Center. Of course Conservatives are not permitted to read this one.

Following the High Court ruling on the climate change film An Inconvenient Truth – by Al Gore, the Met Office today welcomes the outcome.
The Met Office advised the Department for Children Schools and Families (DCSF) on the guidance that will now go with the film, and also helped all those involved in the case gain a complete understanding of what is known about climate change and where uncertainties remain.
Director Climate Science John Mitchell said: “The Met Office is pleased that the evidence for climate change had been accepted in a British court of law in line with the IPCC findings that warming our planet is unequivocal, and that it is very likely that most of this warming is caused by man-made greenhouse gases.
“We welcome the fact that such an accessible film is being shown to schools so that young people will be informed on climate change and encouraged to engage with the issues that will affect their future.”
The Met Office continuously works closely with DCSF, providing educational aids on both weather and climate change.

Is that news?

Brits have bought the big lie hook, line and sinker?

The fact that a court of law, or the IPCC accepts it doesn’t mean any more than the doctrine of geocentrism the Catholic Church used to persecute Galileo for suggesting the sun was the center of the solar system.

In fact there are quite a few parallels between the persecution the Catholic Church undertook against heretics and the punishment meted out to heretics against the global warming orthodoxy.

BOTH ARE WRONG! And science and history will prove it. But like libs still insisting Reagan had nothing to do with winning the Cold War, zealots like you will never admit you are wrong.

When?

When Hell Freezes Over.

And since that already happened when snow fell in Baghdad even zealots like you won’t have long to wait before we roast you over the coals again for BEING WRONG!

When we see the temperature numbers in for thisyear and next, and we’re still showing overall increases, you, and all Conservatives will develop total amnesia

“amnesia”

Funny… Like the amnesia the enviromentalists and socialists have concerning the impending “New Ice Age” in the 1970s? Or the amnesia concerning warming/cooling trends repeated through recorded history? or the amnesia on the core samples showing wild variations in temperatures for tens of thousands of years prior?

And yep, more baseless insults against conservatives… But leftists get a automatic Steve Pass…. All bow to the glories of Steve the all knowing socialist. Us Conservatives will just have to report to the reeducation camps.

Don’t forget that the envirowhackos claimed that the 2005 hurricane season with blockbusters Rita and Katrina was foretold to be just a harbinger of things to come.

And those same scaremongers have gone silent with the last two seasons the quietest in a decade.

Steve: The issue here isn’t warming now and then or ice thickening or melting. The issue here is man’s role.

I realize that you folks with so little grounding in traditional values would take upon yourselves the power of God, but you are mislead by your own vanity.

Man is but a small speck in the scheme of things. And you lefties are smaller still.
