It’s What They Leave Out

Posted by: Curt @ 7:35 am in John McCain  | 0 views

Not very shocking that the Times would leave something like this out of their McCain story:

Robert Bennett, a Washington attorney representing McCain, told NBC’s “Today” show that McCain’s staff provided the Times with “approximately 12 instances where Senator McCain took positions adverse to this lobbyist’s clients and her public relations firm’s clients,” but none of the examples were included in the paper’s story.

Highlight the instances where it benefited the company, but ignore all the times where it went against them….nope, no bias there.

Of course these minor details were left out. In its role as “Dictator of Public Opinion”, the NYT is obligated to frame “Proper Thinking” in the simpliest possible terms. Facts that are contrary to “Proper Thinking” can only serve to confuse the public that the NYT is so admirably serving. From the NYT persepective, dissemination of such information, especially when they are trying to selfishlessly and nobily influence an upcoming presidential election, must not be tolerated.

I don’t recall a single Conservative complaining during the 1990’s when the New York Times was printing Ken Starr’s false storeis, or when Dick Cheney’s office was feeding his “Slam Dunk” Iraq stories from 2002 onward.

But, of course, that was DIFFERENT, wasn’t it?

Leave it to Philly Steve to try to change the subject with more Trash, that even he knows is bologna. In regard to the Times story, I’m Afraid this is just the beginning, more the pity.

Philly Steve – just exactly what part of Ken Starr’s report was untrue? The part about Bill Clinton articulating a cigar in the vagina of Monica Lewinsky in the oval office of the White House? Ah…I didn’t think so.

Actually, I could care less about Bill Clinton’s sex life, however, he did commit perjury. What frosted me about the Clinton White House was China Gate (giving Chinese military access to Loral’s tech in exchange for campaign money and donations from Loral’s CEO), File Gate (FBI/IRS files wrongly held on political opponents and maybe even “allies”), WhiteWater, Cattle Futures, multiple rape allegations, Echelon (which the NYTs was all in favor of), trashing the USS George Washington’s guest quarters, doing nothing while US embassies and forces were repeatedly attacked, and a host of others.

His sex life re Monica was the least of my problems with him.
