The Berkeley Boycott

Posted by: Curt @ 6:00 am in Moonbats  | 13 views

As the Berkeley idiots continue to spout “we have nothing to apologize for” about their disgusting stance against our Military its guys like these who make me proud:

Dear Mayor Bates, Jan 31, 2008

In that you and your city have chosen to gravely insult the brave men and women, who have indeed bought you that right with their blood, I am informing you that my company will no longer do business with any of our current suppliers located in the Berkeley,California metro area.

In that my company is in international resort real estate development, and do business with and am associated with, developers and investors worldwide, I am informing all of my contacts, associates and patrons that we will no longer do any business of any sort with anyone living in the Berkeley area.

In that we/MDG Resorts are currently building a state of the art mega-yacht marina, all of the suppliers of Marina equipment, all owners of Yachts , all suppliers of Yacht materials & supplies, all yacht brokers and all tangential yacht business purveyors will likewise be informed that we will not do any business whatsoever with anyone from the Berkeley area.

Likewise all suppliers of building materials, both interior and exterior, currently associated with any of our several resort developments (Brisamar 300+ villas and 200+ condos: Porto Hussong, www.portohussong.com… 500+ condos, 180 slip mega-yacht marina) both of which I might add have international recognition by virtue of glowing reports in Robb Report, Wall Street Journal, Yacht World, Forbes.

I will likewise inform all of our investors, most of whom are very wealthy yacht owners, casino owners, high net worth international businessmen, of our decision to essentially boycott all products and providers located in, or associated with in any way whatsoever,Berkeley, Ca.

Trust me when I say that having been in the real estate development business for over 35 years, our list of contacts and associates is long and very, very impressive. We, and I personally, are going to recomend that they ALL along with us boycott your city, its purveyors, suppliers, and businesses and CHARITIES of every kind.

You have every right to choose to take the obnoxious anti-military stance you have taken, and as stated, that right was bought for you with the blood of better men than you.

I too have every right to do all that I can to insure that your city suffers consequences arising from that obnoxious, sickening stance.

Cordially,

Brian G Dennard

Principal

Director

The Freepers have started a campaign to boycott businesses involved in the City of Berkeley as Brian Dennard has done.

Email all the principals. A polite letter. State our case. Ask them to leave Berkeley. Repeat. CC to the Mayor, Chamber of Commerce and the press. We FIRMLY ask them to leave Berkeley. If there is no response we escalate. Email their customers. Escalate. Perhaps we put boots on the ground and picket.

Polite, dignified and steady pressure. Times 10. Times 100.

weighed in and agreed that the City Council has mucked up royally. They also disagree with them giving a parking space to Code Pink, calling it harassment against the Marines. Good for them.

UPDATE

Now this is a good idea:

Business owners could place “MARINES WELCOME” signs in their windows and see exactly how that improves their sales. The almighty dollar has more influence in the vote than the actual vote itself.

What goes ’round and all that.

Mr. Dennard made the right choice. He and his company will come out ahead in the long run because of the stand he is taking.

The people and businesses that do have reason to deal with Berzerkly, should all stop, and tell them why.

I’ve had several bad experiences with California and would never go back. The first, when I arrived to catch my ride to Vietnam for the second tour, I ended up with an extra week of waiting for some long forgotten reason. So I looked in the paper to find a job to make some cash while I waited. The ad I choose to answer was a moving company, the interviewer said they needed me right now and I could go to work immediately. As I recall the pay was $150 per week. They informed me that $100 would be deducted from the 1st week’s pay for union dues.
I gave them my thoughts on unions and dues and went back to the barracks.

A year later I came back from Vietnam to the same departure point and got spit at as we left the terminal.Probably by some of the same anti America Americans as at Berkeley now or their
offspring. I made my vow never to spend a dime in California 37 years ago.

I went to UC Berkeley from fall 1966 to spring 1970, got my degree in Civil Engineering and left. Their version of free speech consisted of shouting down people that they did not agree with, courtesy of the SDS. Even the Chancellor’s office is infected with this PC crap. Berkeley needs a good boycott to wake up the citizens. The Mayor and the Chief of Police, as well as the City Council needs some Federal Arrest Warrants for obstruction of justice, denying people their civil rights, and a few more charges. They need to be responsible for their actions. And the US Administration needs to be shamed for ignoring such a basic issue as obstruction of the Marines at Berkeley.

Let’s not forget the egregious actions of the “gutless” police force! They should “hang” their heads in shame!

I’ve been boycotting Berkeley for years because of their intolerance, lack of diversity and stifling of free speech. I only wish I could boycott them more.

I have had my fill of Berkeley, San Francisco, and the rest of the politically correct cities of the whole state. I have visited numerous times in the past. I very much enjoyed the visits at first but each time I returned things were getting fruitier and nuttier. I doubt that I will ever visit California again because of the PC.
