There it is, black and white undeniable evidence that we are winning the war. Unless your a libtard in which case you have your head is stuck firmly in the sand….

Any U.S. congress critter that complains about someone else’s political machine being broken should be dragged out and horse whipped. Eleven months with not one thing accomplished to help the country when they have thousands of ‘things’ to pick from. The worst congressiional leadership in history complaining about another government is assanine. Extra s.

“The worst congressiional leadership in history complaining about another government is assanine.”

All that’s left is the Speaker of the House and she’s busy fightin’ the pinkers out of her garden while the nation waits for sanity to return to the Democratic Party. C’mon Nancy, two more bills (denying that the people of Iraq deserve to chase the same nuts out of their garden) and you can make it an even 60!

The surge has had little effect on the way that Americans view Iraq

I think that todays announcement that the NIE says that Iran stopped working on nuclear weapons 4 years ago is going to again remind people of the way that they have been misled in the past about dangers that were fabricated.

Most Americans give higher approval rates to the Democrats in Congress than the Republicans

13% to 12%

Rofl….you da man!

Most Americans consider themselves to be Semocrats

From a poll taken 2004-2005….rofl….you da man!

Cough:

During the month of November, 37.4% of Americans considered themselves to be Democrats, 32.5% said they were Republicans,

Yours was 34 to 25, Rasmussen is 37 to 32. Which to believe, which to believe?

I will hand it to you, your retarded polls and vegas odds are humorous at least.

The Iraqi government is more effective than our Congress and Senate. Democrats complain that change is happening at the local level up…. isn’t that how it’s supposed to work? The locals make the change and effect government at the federal level. It’s called “sovereignty of the states”. They should read our constitution sometime.

The problem with Democrats is that they see Iraq as a failure because Iraqi government at the federal level is slow; of course they do: Dems see big government as the salvation of the people and the individual as inconsequential. This is how Democrats see the world.

The government in Iraq is more effective than Democrats are at the federal level so clearly this is posturing and they’re hoping no one will figure it out.

Heartening

We’re heading out today to DC today to do the touristy thing.  We spent yesterday in Harper’s Ferry, WV.  There were (very cold) Civil War reenactors billeted on the grounds.  I love Harper’s Ferry ~ it’s a wonderful town!
Bu…

This is an old thread. There is almost no point in my posting to it. But I guess since it was brought into my periphery by a web search, and I’ve taken time with it, I shouldn’t waste the effort.

First, when you post a population map, you have to show the key. What does the dark red mean? What does the red and white stripe mean?

Second, you say this: “But hey, its not about security anymore. We suck because the political sides in Iraq haven’t ironed out all their differences…..” Your comment is easily invalidated. You show clear misunderstanding of the position of those Americans — AMERICANS, not “libtards” as at least one person on this page referred to a substantial chunk of this country — who do not believe we should continue to be in Iraq and, in the minds of many, never should have been in Iraq. Yes, it is possible that this map shows that the surge is working. More fire power usually WILL work, won’t it? It is also possible that Al Qaeda has dispatched their operatives to other places for reasons only such minds can imagine. It’s unfortunate that before our government, led by George W. Bush and congressional Republicans, decided to go into Iraq when the job in Afghanistan was not finished. This is how we left Afghanistan:

I think most of us who are against our presence in Iraq blame Iraq and Iraq only for the fact that that they have not worked out their differences. Personally, I think it’s time they started footing the bill for our time and expenses since we’re in dire straits over this and they’re sitting on a huge surplus. Barack Obama believes this as well, but that’s neither here nor there for the moment. What we blame our government for is that George Bush was warned of what can of worms he’d be opening if our country went to war in Iraq with the express objective of regime change, and chose to ignore the warnings.

Once there, once having placed us in the middle of the quagmire, Bush et al proceeded to do every possible thing wrong until the “surge,” which was not just recommended by John McCain, but was recommended by another Vietnam veteran, John F. Kerry.

Lastly, where is your map of the population of Al Qaeda in Iraq from about 2001? I’m willing to bet it’s pretty clear of Al Qaeda.

No, we don’t suck. But we easily could suck if apologists like you, many of your posters, and many Republican voters, continue to accept a standard of less than the most reasoned, circumspect, intelligent, ethical governance we can produce.
