Murtha says:

"Well it's delusional to say the least," Murtha told CNN's Wolf Blitzer. "As I said earlier, and you heard me say it, it's a failed policy wrapped in illusion. Nothing's gotten better. Incidents have increased. We have had more Americans killed in the last four months than any other period during the war.

During that 120 days, 1.8 X 120 = 216 troops KIA.

During those same 120 days, 480,000 pre-born also were KIA and also Americans in their own war on terror.

If you believe Vegas when it comes to political predictions, then you probably still think Kerry beat Gore in 04

Rasmussen has also polled Americans on other questions concerning Iraq. When these are not mentioned one may wonder if it is because the results are not as favorable to your arguments.
Take for instance Rasmussen's poll of Nov 15th on when the US troops should come home.
http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/current_events/the_war_in_iraq/iraq_troop_withdrawal For the third week in a row that percentage has gone up 2%. The most recent poll shows
28% want them brought home immediately
35% want them brought home within 1 year
32% want them to remain until the mission is complete.

Americans have reached the point where the situation of who is winning and who is losing is not their major concern. Americans just want our troops home and safe.
When I want to look at polling data I usually go to www.PollingReport.com which provides polls on the same subject from a variety of organizations, not just one company.
http://www.pollingreport.com/iraq.htm

But I also go to Intrade.com the political futures board to see where people are willing to back up their stated views with real money.
https://www.intrade.com/aav2/trading/tradingHTML.jsp?evID=23190&eventSelect=23190&updateList=true&showExpired=false

For all you Fred Head's out there he has now fallen to 80-1 to win the White House so now is the time to cash out your 401s and then retire as multi millionaire.

It gets more interesting. I mentioned earlier that a good way to get funding for the conflict in Iraq and Afganistan regardless of threatened cut backs, was to "cancel" orders for military projects that are made in key districts. The senators would turn around and fund these projects anyways.

I now have more proof that this strategy works.
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20071130/ap_on_go_ca_st_pe/marines_armored_vehicles_14

Congress members have no intention of starving the Pentagon by hurting their own districts.
