National Day of Donations To Fred Thompson

Fred Thompson blogs have started a National Day of Donations for his campaign. The day they chose is November 21st:

National Day of Donation — November 21, 2007.

OBJECTIVE: A pile of cash to push ad buys, and a special
Thanksgiving present for what Fred is doing.

Give Until It (almost) Hurts. For 24
Hours, starting at 12:01 a.m., so that the donations officially
track all through Wednesday, 11/21.

I’m guessing we will see more of this from the other nominee’s in the days to come

I should add that whoever put together the Thompson thing made a couple of bad moves. First of all, not enough lead time to get momentum - ten or eleven days is kind of short, even on internet time. Second of all, scheduling the donations for a day when a lot of people are going to be on the road.
Also, as far as I know, there is no live fundraising total widget (like Paul and Huckabee have) to watch donation totals rise and keep people invested in the outcome.
My prediction: Huckabee’s day of fundraising (despite also being hampered by short leadtime) will be much bigger than Thompson’s. But we may not even be able to tell how much Thompson gets (unless we want pore over end of year FEC filings months after the fact).

I agree. I like the idea but more planning should have been conducted to ensure that this is a success.

Yeah kind of weak for Fred to not come clean and show us the money. Ron Paul out raised Huckster yesterday with out having a money bomb going on and is pushing 9million now for Q4. Paul’s blowout moneybomb is still a month away and there are more people signed for it than signed up last time… There is really no substitute for real support I guess.

Yea there is no substitute for the real thing! CFR candidates need to stay with the PAC/Corporate money.
Dr Ron Paul is the king of the money bomb! Popular support is where it’s at, special interest never helped me pay any of my bills I’ll tell you that.
