Greed was not the reason for cancelling this season. Did you really want to see 7 episodes and then have to wait several months before you could see another episode (since, even once the strike is over…it will take time to write new scripts and then shoot them).

Also hilary…don’t forget Keifer Sutherland is in jail right now, so they couldn’t have shot any episodes even if they did have all the scripts.

Greg,

I do not believe we have to worry about the CIA/DIA going on strike because of benefits. (1)They are civil government employees and get REALLY good benefits. And the government civil “servants” are unionized (a very powerful union too). (2) Islamofascism’s “benefits” are only enjoyable AFTER you die, but ONLY if you die in military jihad.

This of course begs the question of why did not Arafat, Bin Laden, and the rest of these sorry sacks of protoplasm, jump to the front of the homocide bomber line?

One of my favorite episodes of Get Smart, is when Max Smart learns CHAOS has a better benefit package so the crew at CONTROL threaten to strike.

Now imagine if the real intellegence community was union. Oh the humorous actions that would result.
