John Kerry: I’m Now Prepared to Fight Off Swift Boat Veterans
Yup, three years after he got his butt whipped he is just NOW prepared to tackle those pesky sailors who served with him in Vietnam.
Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry, perhaps preparing to get back into the presidential ring one day, claims he’s now armed with materials that will make war record critics from his 2004 presidential campaign go running tail between legs.
The 63-year-old Democratic senator told The Patriot-Ledger on Tuesday that the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, a group of Navy servicemen who served with Kerry and criticized his record in Vietnam, will be revealed as liars.
“We have put together a documented portfolio that frankly puts their lies in such a total light of absurdity and indecency, that should they ever rear their ugly heads again, we have every single ‘t’ crossed and ‘i’ dotted, and I welcome that in a sense,” Kerry said after addressing Boston’s South Shore Chamber of Commerce. “It’s a shame we weren’t able to produce all that at the time.”
Which reads to me like he intends to attack the Swift Boat guys rather then release his FULL and COMPLETE 180.
The man wounded himself with a grenade launcher (a very minor scratch) and put
in for a Purple Heart, he lied about spending Christmas in Cambodia,
when one boat got hit by a mine Kerry ran while every single other one
came to that boat’s rescue. Kerry had a change of heart and then
decided to come back and “rescue” a comrade (that story has changed
from Kerry’s mouth at least 3 times since Vietnam). He put in for
Purple Hearts for minor wounds that most soldiers would be embarrassed
to acknowledge, all to get out of Vietnam in 4 months. Leaving his
fellow soldiers behind.
After the war he may very well have provided aid to the enemy which leads credence to the fact that Kerry was discharged less then honorably. That fact would be in the COMPLETE DD-180 which Kerry has refused to release.
All the more reason this man is an embarrassment.
The ironic thing about this latest article is this snippet:

was true in 1969 and true in 2004 is still true today: Sen. Kerry
served his country with honor, and the right wing was disgustingly
wrong to smear a decorated combat veteran. An assault on one veterans’ service is an attack on all veterans.
So explain this then Senator Kerry:
“And there is no reason, Bob, that young American soldiers need to
be going into the homes of Iraqis in the dead of night, terrorizing
kids and children, you know, women, breaking sort of the customs of
the–of–the historical customs, religious customs.”

Kerry needs to deal with the fact that he will never get his party’s nomination again, and then he needs to go away.

The Swift Boat Vets should go after him in Ma when he comes up for election. Surely some people up that way are smart enough to realize he’s a fool and a liar. Now, I said some people. Wouldn’t want to give the brain dead too much credit.

I expect T. Boone Pickens to win this one.
What does Kerry think he’s going to accomplish with this? I don’t even have an opinion on whether he’s right; I had already decided to vote against him for policy reasons, so I didn’t spend any time informing myself about the Swift Boat issues. But is he seriously deluded enough to think that he has a chance if he runs again, or that anyone will really want to hear what he has to say about this for the umpteenth time?

Kerry could put a stop to all of this if he would just show us his DD214 to prove that he was entitled, as a matter of record, to all those medals – including the junk PX ribbons he wore, on his fatigue out-of-uniform, that time on TV in 1972.
