		<description>Tommy Lee Jones doesn't bother me, because to my knowledge, he is not a Hollywood political activist using his celebrityhood as a platform to bloviate from.

		<description>&lt;i&gt;"I gotta wonder if these people will protest against President Bush when:

President Obama continues to keep US forces in Iraq
President Clinton bombs Iran
President Edwards raises troop levels in Iraq (surge II) to quell violence"&lt;/i&gt;

Scott: When Bush is long gone, Dems will still be blaming him for whatever a Democrat President has to do that they don't like. Hell, they blamed Bush for the Intell that Democrats used to make their statements on WMD's in Iraq when Bush was still GOVERNOR of Texas!

Take away the Bush Deragement Syndrome from the left, and the anti-war movement collapses. People will still be "against" the war (as if there are people out there going, "WOOHOOO!!!! KILL EM ALL!!!!"), but without Bush hate as a binding agent, the anti-war movement instantly decays into nothing but common, every day American frustration with war-any war.

It's odd to me that with the President a lame duck, and with a Democratic Party controlled Congress, there are still more protests against President Bush than there are against the Democratic Party controlled Congress. Could it be (jaw drop) that the crux of the opposition to the war for so many is opposition to the President? If they really wanted to end the war, they'd protest against Congress more with signs that said, "Give Bush Anything, just bring the troops home."

But that won't happen for the same reason they all of a sudden aren't demanding impeachment like they used to. They want their agenda. They want their agenda: first, foremost, and finally.

So it is that the left gets nothing. They won't let their anti-leaders (Reid, Pelosi, others) trade agenda for a premature evacuation, and they themselves won't be silent as the Democrats' Congress loses all power.

18% approval ratings
3% approval for handling of the Iraq War
support for the decision to invade rising
support for the war rising (56% and going up now)
support for withdrawal at any cost (Dem's new direction plan) falling

Yep, the Democrats' Congress has actually managed to do a worse job leading than President Bush. Amazing. At this point they'd do better to let James Traficant out of jail and make him speaker (yes, he was MY former congressman-jailed for bribes, ran from jail).
