Glad you did such a nice job Fisking this piece of garbage from the LA Times. It seems the main Tet Offensive for Iraq is coming from the media which is releasing hit pieces devoid of facts on an almost daily basis now.

The Pace call for a major reduction in troops got play everywhere. Pace's denial got tucked away in a corner somewhere.

Now comes this one:
"Iraq body count running at double pace" from AP
They claim attacks have doubled over last year, and basically
call Brig. Gen. Richard Sherlock a liar in the article, saying
he offered no stats to back his claim that violence is decreasing.
But I remember quite well the furor in July 2006 that casualties were well over 100/day. That does not fit well with the stats the AP is throwing around in the article. I'm guessing they are using the 500 dead in the recent attack to manipulate the picture.

It is just outrageous that there is such a concerted effort to say anything to undermine our country at war. Thanks for your many efforts to hop up and down on the other side of the seesaw and restore some balance.

My favorite "Latrine Poetry" was one I saw on the back of the door of one of the stalls at Charlie Co,Camp Greaves on the DMZ in Korea in 1974.

it read simply:
"You are now a patron of booth number 2"

Latrine poetry has been around for ever and is worse in peace time. Why don't the cowards that 'volunteered' for the military go to their commander and ask to be discharged. I spent 22 years in the military and never met a sorry a** I couldn't get rid of within 60 days. These are simply left wing punks that want the salary but don't want the job. They are and will be that way no matter who pays them. Work is a dirty word to the 20% + of the population that were reared on welfare and still want to be sucking the welfare tit.
