He expresses hope for a good report, notes personal connections to Iraq, and expresses confidence in Petraeus. But because he has a D next to his name, some blogger pulled out a few words knowing that no one would actually look for greater context. This debate deserves better. And no, you can't question the patriotism of decorated vets like Chuck Hagel and Jim Webb. Disagree with their position on the war, but stop hating war critics more than you love the U.S. Did any of you actually bother to listen to the full interview?

Clyburn, heaven forbid, is suggesting that Democrats wait until September’s report before pushing more withdrawal measures, just like President Bush has requested.

He expresses hope for a good report, notes personal connections to Iraq, and expresses confidence in Petraeus. But because he has a D next to his name, some blogger pulled out a few words knowing that no one would actually look for greater context.

Sacrafice of their own childrens future and many lives means nothing to them. We have a sad lot of dhimmi's in congress. Watching them protect a terrorist organization like CAIR is funny, only because I'm old and won't have to put up with the result for many years. Success in our operations in Iraq (and Afghanistan) SHOULD only equate to "a real big problem for us." if one is quoting islamofascists. Unfortunately, it appears that problems for A-Q and islamofascism are problems for the left-wing also, Sad, disgusting, and a dangerous portent.
