<description>As previous posters write, it should be "McClellan".

And note that he was a complete inept tool who seemed not to want to win, a Democrat (but I repeat myself) and ran against Lincoln in 1864 on a cut-and-run platform. Some thing never change, but at least we must concede that American casualties were a wee bit higher than 3,500 at that point in the Civil War.

<description>Not to quibble with this excellent post, but Grant fixed Meade, Meade fixed Hooker, Hooker fixed McClellan, McClellan fixed Pope, Pope fixed McClellan, and McClellan fixed McDonald who Lincoln picked to lead his army. So you can make a lot of mistakes on the way to the right man. Don't get me started on Rosecrans.

<description>Great post. We pray for the safety of our troops as they battle this cancer of extremism. I know our troops can get the job done -- let's hope these slimy political leaders here can for once support the troops over their own ambitions (but Democrats thrive on power, so I guess I'm just wishing).

My prayers are with our brave men and women -- God bless them and the people of Iraq.
