They have run both ways politically but mostly have been damaged people. I have felt sorry for most of them. However, the assumption that veterans that oppose the war or vote for politicians that support veterans issues and oppose Republican anti-veteran and anti-military policies is an indication that many phony vets seem to have infiltatrated the conservative movement. Educating veterans on issues of real importantance to the military and veterans and not political propaganda is important. The veterans opposing the Vietnam War included phonies but the organizations were, for the most part, run by SF and Rangers. Only these guys had the intelligence, energy and management skills for this kind of activity. Phony vets may run to the press and whine but seldom organize and show significant administrative skills. All veterans speaking for others should be vetted. All veterans expressing opinions should be listened to but a concensus should be reached and veterans need to be united, brothers, and not split over political issues. With a Whitehouse and congress full of chickenhawks, draft dodgers, phonies and child molesters, thank goodness you have spent the time going after this mental defective. Perhaps a lesson or two in citizenship and responsibility might be an idea.
