Yes… Barbara and Amy are the same person. People choose multiple personalities for whatever reasons they choose. Perhaps they feel they can say something diffferently as an alternative personality … dunno. I personally favor getting to cyber know with whom I converse.

But, as I am equal opportunity multiple personality identifier…. LOL… the answer is yes.

April? May I suggest you set up a filter on your email for this thread? Then you aren’t forced to revisit it.

After that, a filter is the last resort. I’ve set up a few on particular threads myself when I had just washed my hands of it.

@April: I agree, but when someone uses this very unfortunate issue to spew racist rants, that is when you take away from the poor victims. If you notice I was commenting on Barbara’s post, which had NO mention of the incident, just how fed up she was with the “savage blacks”. The particular black men in this case, are “savages”. On the flip side I can point to many “savages” in other races. Ted Bundy, Jeffrey Dahmer, John Wayne Gacy, Charles Manson etc. All of which are white, my point is, color has no bearing on the sickness that plagues these individuals. I was just trying to get people to see the absurdity in that way of thinking. We also make a mockery of what these two went through, when we use their story to try to fill our own agenda, and spread hate.

I don’t really expect you to agree with what I am saying, based on your previous posts. Now YOU seem to be a very angry person. Your worst post was deleted, where you had EVERY word a cuss word.

You are absolutely right, but where would our country be today, if that first, very painful step was not taken? Change hurts. Until we see the rewards, that is. The Revolutionary War wasn’t easy either… But it was a very needed action.

@Barbara: There’s no “reading into” needed, when someone calls a race of people savages. Did you mean that in an endearing way? My mistake then, I guess I miss read it when you said that black people just have to show up to work and not work, oh I get it, you are giving them credit for having a job, silly me. Oh no, then what on earth did you mean by that statement? Please enlighten me. So I don’t have to read into what you say.

You witnessed what you wanted to witness. You had Selective Witness Syndrome. (I made that syndrome up)

I talk to people of all races, and ages, so I get alot of perspectives. Thank you for the suggestion tho. Hey, maybe you should take your own advice, talk to people and get their perspective. That’s been my point to you all weekend!

You said you were fed up, what exactly is it your fed up with? To someone who is “reading into it”, it looks like you are saying you are fed up with black people, since that is what you are talking about in your post.

I hope that if anyone had any questions about Christianity, did not get the wrong idea from your post, and think of Christians as hateful racist people. When you say you are a Christian, and then say such racist things, you make Christians look bad. If nothing else you have to see that.

You are right, times have changed, but you prove that times have not changed enough, there are still ALOT of people with the same views as you, and you know what, it’s not entirely your fault. I don’t think anyone has cared enough to share their experiences, and hard ships with you, so you could understand. I just hope you could some day just try to look at things from a different view, and realize, that both sides have their faults, and the only way to move forward, is to come to terms with these faults, and set petty differences aside, and not judge others for their differences, instead celebrate those differences, and get to know those differences. After all people are always scared of what they do not understand, and fear turns into hate.

I have to go to bed now, I’ll pray this post finds you with an open mind and an open heart.

Voter,I can only state what I have lived,If I had witnessed white kids provoking black kids I would have also stated this.Our government forced this on everyone,without any thought about the consequences.Your children will be fine,times have changed alot .I will pray for you and your family.Maybe you should talk to more people from this time and get there perspective.I can only state what I witnessed.I think you are so sesitive you are reading more into what you read,than what is really there.I will pray for you and your family.God Bless

@Barbara: The problem is, you are stating half of the facts, which is what I’ve been trying to get you to see, those things may have happened, but what where the circumstances, what happened before and after those encounters? Desegregation was fought, by both sides, very hard, and for different reasons. I am by NO MEANS computer savvy. I was simply explaining my thought, that you were shouting. You keep telling me I’m angry, I go over the posts, and I can’t understand what would give the impression I am an angry person, except when someone rants racist statements. I have mixed children, and when I think about the racist things I hear or read, it saddens me to think about what my children will endure, or have already endured at the hands of ignorant, racist people. So I try to enlighten people about the stereo types that don’t ring true to all. I think racism brings out anger in alot of level headed people. Other than that, I’m pretty happy go lucky. I do like to have debates, sometimes heated debates, but that’s not anger, that’s to encourage others to see a different view point. I understand that you grew up in a time that was ugly and alot of changes were being made, and it was probably hard to see things from others point of view, but if you just try, then maybe you will see how racist, and extreme your comments were. My grandmother grew up in Ohio, and during the desegregation era, and I have had many en depth conversations with her about what she has seen or encountered. Through our conversations, she has been able to open her eyes and see how its not as black and white as she might have thought. When you have racism in your heart, you have hate in your heart, because hatred is the close cousin to racism.
