Blaming Bush For The Tornadoes

Posted by: Curt @ 2:10 pm in MSM Bias  | 0 views

Sadly the state of Kansas lost up to 10 lives and suffered lots of property damage from tornadoes over the weekend.  While we all pray for the victims families the AP and the Democrat Governor of Kansas decided to do what Democrats and our MSM do best.  Blame Bush.

The rebuilding effort in tornado-ravaged Greensburg, Kansas, likely will be hampered because some much-needed equipment is in Iraq, said that state’s governor.

Governor Kathleen Sebelius said much of the National Guard equipment usually positioned around the state to respond to emergencies is gone. She said not having immediate access to things like tents, trucks and semitrailers will really handicap the rebuilding effort.

The Greensburg administrator estimated that 95 percent of the town of 1500 was destroyed by Friday’s tornado.

The Kansas National Guard has about 40 percent of the equipment it is allotted because much of it has been sent to Iraq.

Of course they failed to note that Bush declared the area a federal emergency which frees up federal money.  Why ruin a great Bushitler rant when you don’t have to.

I mean they could of just as easily headlined this story with "Kansas Governor believes their state deserves equipment more then the troops" right?  But nope.  Iraq is Bush’s fault so blame it all on Bush.

Give it a few more days.  Pretty soon they will begin to blame these tornadoes on global warming and the policies of Bush.  BDS is in full swing this summer.

Honestly, do these people understand how retarded they sound?  The National Guard can always be called up in times of war, if the State (which tends to get hit by tornadoes quite a bit) isn’t prepared to deal with these emergencies then I think the blame should be put on this Governor.

Not to the AP I guess.

Finally, Newsbusters notes that Iran quickly caught this Governor’s ramblings and printed them in their own paper.  Just as al-Qaeda does in Iraq with the Democrats cut and run talking points.  Blame Bush and aid the enemy, two things the left and our MSM are quite skilled at.

I liked how they push the idea that the National Guard is stretched thin, and conveniently ignore the fact that it’s at it’s highest numbers-this month-since 1999. Gosh….I wonder how the Iraq War gutted the National Guard 4 years before the invasion?

This is crap too.

I live in the Tornado riddled state of Oklahoma and we have had just as severe if not more tragic stoms than Kansas, however we pray for our neighbors I can say Oklahoma has ALOT of National Guard stationed in Iraq and we ALWAYS have enough Troops and equipment left at home for emergancy usage!

She also knows if she is short on equipment which she isnt, she could always borrow some from us, Texas, and elsewhere in this Nation as States often do in times of emergancy.

For instance New York sent equipment and dogs etc, to Oklahoma to help in recovery efforts after the Alphred P. Murrah Federal Building bombing, and we did the same thing with New York on 9-11.

Same thing with earthquakes, hurricanes, etc.

The Democrat Governor of Kansas is trying to play political football with a tragedy as the Liberals always do.

By the way… the National Guard has debunked the Governor’s statement. They actually have around 80% of their equipment available. Can anyoned say Kathleen Blanco, or New Orleans, or Katrina? These Dems always want to play football with someone else’s tradgedy.
