House Democrats pulled a bill to grant voting rights to Washington, D.C., after Republicans offered a motion that would repeal the gun ban for the District.
The move is a clear signal that Democrats have lost control of the House floor on the voting rights issue after minority Republicans presented the Democratic majority with a politically unpalatable motion that their conservative members would be forced to support for fear of angering the gun rights community.
Fifty-two Democrats voted with Republicans on a similar measure to repeal the gun ban in 2004. That would be more than enough support for Republicans to add a repeal to the voting rights bill – something a majority of Democrats would vehemently oppose.
Republicans have taken great pride in offering motions to recommit during their time in the minority, an often over-looked legislative procedure that has allowed them to amend various bills on the House floor.
These Dem’s thought the Republicans would just roll over and play dead while they offered cut and run bills, taxation bills, and investigation after silly investigation. They are trying to ram the Fairness Doctrine down our throats, and now tried to ram through this silly voting bill but guess what? We are not just going to sit idly by while the rats pull the handle on the toilet.
So while the incompetent Pelosi is off gallivanting around in some smog spewing jet the Republicans showed the left how little they gained in November. Mandate my ass. They barely…BARELY…have a majority and they think they have a mandate. Meanwhile they ignore the corruption from their side while offering to subpoena White House officials for an investigation into a non-crime.
And they wonder why their approval rating is at 28%, course you wouldn’t know that since all of the MSM outfits ignored this recent news. They seemed so interested in the high numbers Congress received a month ago, but now that the numbers are in the tank again….crickets.
The thing that makes me smile the most tho is the fact that the lunatic fringe on the left are now attacking their own. How sweet it is. These Democrats made their bed when they pandered to the nutcases, the Socialists, the Communists, and the Sheehan nimrods. Now they have to either do as they say or wait to get eaten by their own.
Classic!
So lets recap. The Democrats are panicking because:
- Their base is full of completely insane Socialists
- Iraq, and the surge is working
- They can’t get any legislation passed
Oh, and don’t let me forget this wonderful news
- Bush is not blinking on the "show trials"

Pull them a little slack. Very few pre-school children can count to 100 and those that can will never be democrats.
Someone please give me the name (living, breathing proof) of a democrat that has the IQ of a pre-schooler, or at least one that acts like the do.

Anti-war democrats were crying outside Peeeloshi’s office when they were stopped from defacing government propery and found out that the dhimmi’s can’t rally the votes to go to Iraq and shoot 140,000 American Soldiers. Damn I love it.
Meanwhile, Dems have given Code Pink the “wink” to perform their little circus acts in the halls of Congress and at hearings.
And 14 Democrats deserted this sideshow in today’s vote on surrender in Iraq.
The wheels are coming off the train. Whether it takes a few months or until 2008 it will be difficult to keep the American people from seeing how immature and irresponsible Democat leadership is in the House.
