Another Bonehead Democrat

Well isn’t this special:

Breaking with Bush administration policy, Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee of Houston ventured to Venezuela to campaign for a thaw in relations with leftist President Hugo Chavez.

"We’ve made a serious mistake in not engaging with President Chavez," the Democratic lawmaker said Thursday in a telephone interview from Houston, a few hours after returning from a three-day trip to Caracas, the capital. "I came to break the tension, to warm up a chilled relationship."

[...]For his part, Chavez has alienated many members of Congress, especially after his infamous speech in September at the United Nations when he called President Bush "the devil."

[...]Jackson Lee pressed the same point at a news conference Wednesday at the U.S. Embassy in Caracas, saying, "Venezuela has many friends in this new Congress."

Many NEW friends I would gather after the November elections.

Of course we have to look at who this is coming from, the very same lady who complained about Hurricane names:

Do devastating hurricanes need help from affirmative action?

A member of Congress apparently thinks so, and is demanding the storms be given names that sound "black."

The congressional newspaper the Hill reported this week that Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, D-Texas, feels that the current names are too "lily white," and is seeking to have better representation for names reflecting African-Americans and other ethnic groups.

And once asked if the Mars pathfinder had taken a picture of…..wait for it:

The Congressional bonehead award goes to Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee (D-TX) who, on a visit to JPL, asked if Mars Pathfinder had taken an image of the flag planted there in 1969 by Neil Armstrong!

What does this tell us?  This is one ignorant politician.

It’s rather embarrassing to have to admit that clown is from Texas. At least I can say she’s from Houston, but that just doesn’t help enough. What an idiot…
