Many Iraqis are doing their jobs, but now have resentment for the occupiers who liberated their country.

Any patriot would have difficulty in that situation.

As long as the individual is doing his job, he has made a compromise. When The US leaves behind a realatively peaceful Iraq, as I hope, it will be because a lot of resentful people from the Ahl al-Sunnah wa'l-Jama'ah chose to knuckly under and give the occupier some credit.

That is the most that can be expected from the Sunni community, and you will be overjoyed as more of it appears.

Maybe Michelle could stop by the Reuters Bureau and verify that the daily Baghdad Body Count reported daily by Reuters is really coming from a police or interior ministry source. She doesn’t need to publish a name, just see if she can get Reuters to give her enough information to verify that the source is real. I would trust a yes or no from her without her exposing the source if it is a legitimate one. Today’s report from Reuters:

BAGHDAD - Police found 27 bodies in Baghdad over the past 24 hours, many bearing signs of torture and gunshot wounds, an interior ministry source said.
