Oklahoma Bombing, Update V

Michelle Malkin has an update up today that lists some of the material seized from Hinrich’s apartment: (taken from the unsealed court documents, 94 pages of the 350 pages can be found here)

The affidavit of FBI special agent Jennifer Baker provides additional details of the bombing scene (pp. 16-28), including the recovery of a “white sock containing pieces of plastic” and at least “two wires protruding from the sock,” as well as “a screwdriver with a hollow handle and white sock stuffed partially inside the handle,” a “blue opaque ballpoint pen” with a “small razor consistent with an Exacto knife attached to the opposite end from the pen” and a “bullet casing of unknown caliber” attached to it (p. 18). Odd possessions for a depressed loner just trying to end his own singular life.

The documents also confirm local Oklahoma media reports on the presence of TATP, “called the ‘Mother of Satan’ by Islamist extremists,” in Hinrichs’ apartment (p. 90)

The real story in this whole episode is the attempts made by the MSM and the University to sweep the incident under the rug. It’s obvious this was not just a lonely depressed kid wanting to commit suicide.

Some thoughts:

1 -Why did the FBI insist from the beginning that Hinrichs was a lone suicide but then waited nearly two weeks before disclosing the existence of the message allegedly left by Hinrichs on his computer?

2 – Federal policy for several years has been that all explosions are treated as terrorist acts until proven otherwise. Why was the Hinrichs death so quickly pronounced a non-terrorist act?

3 – Recall that Hinrich has attempted to buy a large amount of Ammonium Nitrate a few days prior to this bombing.

4 – Recall that all this bombmaking material detailed above was in his apartment, whom he shared with a Pakistani roommate named Fazal M. Cheema.

5 – Recall that this apartment is located one block away from the local Mosque, the same mosque attended in 2001 by Zacarias Moussaoui

6 – It has been reported but not confirmed that Hinrich tried to enter the stadium twice prior to detonation.

Yeah, just your everyday suicide.
